Eh, I've been hearing quite the opposite actually. Richard Roper gave it a D and Ebert said it was one of the most unpleasent movie going experiences of his life.

Thats why its actually probably good. I never go by the critics, usually when they don't like a movie, I do, and vice versa.

I saw it last night in 3D and it was awesome! It was a good storyline but wasnt over the top ridiculous with certain things like #2 was.

The action was great and in 3D you could see a lot more detail in the robots and everything else, beautiful. IMHO, it was a good way to end the franchise. Well done.

OK I just saw the movie. I'm mad its taken me this long, stupid pesky responsibilities. First things first, I thought it was awesome. Its definitely more story driven than action oriented. I loved megatrons look, very General Grievous. How Awesome is it to see Prime with his trailer again, that was fantastic. I have the same complaint about this movie as the first 2, too much focus on the people and not enough robot to robot conversation. The only other minor thing I could say would be to cut about 15 minutes or so out. It was also cool to see Chicago (since I live in Chicago-land) as the centerpiece at the end. I did throw up in my mouth a bit when they said, take cover at the Willis tower. (it will always be Sears to me.) :D

I really hope they do a 4th even though they didn't leave any real loose ends. The Transformers universe is pretty rich so there is plenty they haven't touched on yet.

Aurora got a nice little shout out as well - did you spot it?

Ok, I LOVED IT! I thought it was the best of the three. This one, by far, concentrated more on the Transformers than the humans!

I didn't get to read the whole thread...but did anybody else notice the Sharkticon "Gnaw" in a few scenes?

Can't wait to see it again.

My biggest issue is that they STILL don't get the damage right. One scene made me laugh because it was so blatant. At the end of the movie, Bumblebee is in Camaro mode...and he's all nice and shiny...then he transforms and he's battle damaged. Why do the paint scratches, burns, etc. disappear when he transforms back to car mode? The same pieces of sheetmetal (or plastic nowadays) can be seen!

yes I noticed him too, very cool. How about primes trailer, it was about time. It kind of threw me though that they changed the names of mirage and wheel jack to Que and Dino.

Wheeljack and Mirage are my two favorite Transformers and I didn't even realize that Que and Dino were them. Really?

Plus, I loved how Skidz and Mudflap were conveniently left out.

I chuckled when Prime's trailer got taken out when he was driving. It was reminiscent of when it would just disappear in the cartoon.

Thats what I read. I guess they changed it to Que as a wink to bond and dino for the dino ferrari. Its a bit surprising that hasbro would allow these name issues to come up since they are so protective of the brand. Just like the whole devastator issue from the first.

I was reading that they are in the movie but its just a flash for a second. I read a quote that said bay would give anyone $25K if they could find them. I didnt actually confirm it but its still pretty funny.

Yea that was pretty funny. I kept thinking, "see, it wasnt that hard to figure out what to do with the trailer."

What did you think of the "hair" on the transformers and laserbeak being able to talk?

Transformers 3 has made 278 mil domestically so far and should most likely pass the first one. I would say it was a big enough hit to think that there is no chance they just say we are done. So who would you like to see start a new set of films? J.J. Abrams, Peter Jackson, James Cameron... anyone you would like? The rumors have Spielberg but I would doubt it. I would like to see what Abrams would do with it when hes done with Star Trek.

I think it would've meant a little more if it was just Mirage and Wheeljack. (Although, they had zero of the personality traits of either Mirage or Wheeljack.)

If I was to pick a scene where Skidz or Mudflap were...I'd have to say the split second they showed the Autobots driving towards the shuttle (It may have been them close to the front of the pack).

I never TRULY liked the design of the Bayformers only because I thought he added some "human" traits that weren't "realistic" to me. There's no need for lips. I understand that the G1 Transformers had mouths...but to add lips to 'bots that didn't have "mouths" seemed ridiculous. I then opened my eyes a little more after seeing the first movie. There was a reason for it...it was to show emotion. The hair, again, was something I didn't like on some bots...but didn't mind on others. The "dread-like" hair on one of the Nascar bots was ok...because it could've been the hoses from the car. The beards were just thrown in to make them look old...so I didn't like that.

How about you?

I too get why they made the bots the way they did. I just wish they could have stayed more true to the original G1 by adding some of the original traits to the models. On some they did but not on all. for instance Primes face had the shield and the "antenna ears" but aside from being rescue vehicles ratchet really had nothing. I really didnt like the hair on brains or que, it just didnt look right.
