It all just seems so much pomp and circumstance for what amounts to so little

A multi year 2 stage expansion to increase the ride count by 5, 2 of which are genetic flats that are more there for kinetic atmosphere than as actual rides

So 10 years for a clone of web slingers, a clone of the worse frozen and a flume ride

I do wonder what this section is, seems odd to have a path through just this bit?

Also this area below looks like a potential stage/meet and greet area with a large plaza to watch it

One of the joys of DLP to me is that you can simply just meander along paths in Adventureland. It makes it so much more interesting than one path that everything sits on like in MK.

So I see absolutely nothing odd that there is a path meandering through part of the land. I’m delighted by it.

Not sure if it's been mentioned anywhere, but this image seems to confirm that there will be a new parade route that stretches from the Cinemagique theater to the Lion King ride. To my knowledge no parades have been announced with the park's overhaul, but there's still time to announce one before next spring and/or simply build in the capability for future use.

The path highlighted below in blue is delineated in such a way to imply that it has different vehicle requirements (and possibly audio/lighting) than other pathways throughout the park. Given that nearly all paths throughout the parks are capable of handling vehicles for deliveries, maintenance, and emergency access, and that this is a single route without any branches through some of the park's main paths, it seems the plan markings could only be for a parade route.

The route is approximately 2,000' (620m), which is about 10% shorter than the DLP route next door. Even if the park's attendance grows dramatically following the overhaul it will likely be very easy to find a good viewing spot, particularly on the ~750' straightaway between the lake and Studio 1.

Yes, there's even a small gate leading to the backstage. The toilet building seems big, maybe it has a CM room behind for the meet'n'greet.

I understand the logic for saying that the Lion King should be in Adventureland, but the only way this huge attraction could fit in Adventureland would be getting rid of the Indian part of Adventureland, so removing Colonel's Haiti restaurant and Indiana Jones coaster. Adventureland and Disneyland Park need an expansion, nor replacements. For the same logic we could say that Frozen should have been built in the expansion area of Fantasyland.

The building for the Lion King is bigger than Splash mountain, there are less outdoor areas, the top part of the exterior of the mountain is completely different to Splash Mountain... This attraction is clearly not a clone or not a cheap alternative to anything else, and I'm very exctied for this project!

well theres also the massive lake which will be a major show space like Epcot, with boats and drones. Its also the backbone for what will eventually be an epcot like park when they add LK and the other 3/4 expansions lands over time. It will be pretty cool when done imo.

And the new parade route and whatever that brings with it.

and the new restaurants and multiple QS/bathrooms/pathways

and the new outdoor theater

Funnily, this would fit north of Indy.
