That makes sense. And also perhaps explains what @Gusey was saying.I can’t remember where I saw it but I’m pretty sure that WDW and Paris have the highest overlap of guests of any of the two resorts
Americans and people who go to America for the parks tend to go to one or the other. Shanghai and Tokyo are very insular in their demographics, HK has a wider demographic but they only go to HK which leaves Paris and MK as the two that overlap the most
Im assuming the overlap is still very minor on a resort wide scale but they may be trying to avoid giving Parisian guests a reason to not visit WDW
22 million is the goal by 2036 and as of 2023 it was 16.1 millionCould it be that they don’t really want visitor numbers to soar too far?
How far are they from that threshold where they are contracted to build a third park?
In 1997 it was 12.6 million. Makes you wonder if it’s hit a ceiling.22 million is the goal by 2036 and as of 2023 it was 16.1 million
At least the lake expansion and Frozen will add capacity to the WDS park, but the lack of expansions in the main park definitely feels like a ceiling they could do something about. Adding extra capacity could add something new to draw people and increase the park's max capacity. I'm guessing that's the plan for WDS, it's just taken a lot longer than they planned as all three phases were supposed to be open by now if everything had gone as plannedIn 1997 it was 12.6 million. Makes you wonder if it’s hit a ceiling.
No restaurant will be in this area, only the kiosk. So the shop will be about 5 times the size of the restaurant. Although the covered terrace will even things out. Gotta get the priorities right! But yeah, I think a QS is a given here.
I used the term restaurant because I detest “eatery”.No restaurant will be in this area, only the kiosk.
Lion King doesn’t use all the plot but the empty part would be hard to access. Frozen uses pretty much all. And you’d hate them to use part of an adjacent plot.Is there any space left for adding some rides to Lion King and Frozen in the future?
That would have been preferable.I feel this Lion King area was designed for Adventureland in the main park, and when they got cold feet for Star Wars, they switched it around.
There have been rumours of new rides for the main park for years, and Adventureland, to me, needs something the most.
Maybe it’s in this park due to budget cuts.
