They really need to move this statue to the front of the castle and maybe replicate the one from California Adventure somewhere along the street, because it looks jarring with nothing nearby in the background.

Here's the intended tableaux before the Tram Tour closed, but after it was "plussed" when ToT opened
As you can see, the flats beyond the Animation building false front, and the other dimensional ones, worked together to create the illusion of a deeper streetscape. They'd also strategically string Christmas lights across them during the holidays too.
Having an actual street leading to the lake with Frozen as the draw in the distance is nice, but now what's left of "Hollywood" looks empty and incomplete.

This barrier will run all the way to Annette’s, with a new style covered security gate where the current gap in the fence with guard kiosk is:
Despite various crowd control barriers being used over the years, and as nice as the open plaza and clear entry was pre 2010-ish, the world turning to poo didn’t leave them much choice. Although it’s taken too long for aesthetics to catch up!

Interesting to see all those images of the efforts to create a more appealing image for visitors stepping out of Soundstage 1. Brings back memories of watching all the efforts to try and make the park look less aggressively like an industrial park on what seemed like a shoestring budget with some brighter paint here, a few plants there, some small facades and flat backdrops over there, etc.
I will say that the effect stepping out of the soundstage isn't especially bad when it comes to the remaining Hollywood facades and I can kind of forgive them for not prioritising rebuilding that area. To me, it's more that you would never actually plan that collection of structures like that if you were starting from scratch and they still have that quality of patches oddly sown onto the original structure of the park that create an odd little maze. So, it would be nice if at some point they could rethink how ToT, the entry plaza, animation building, and new boulevard all fit together and maybe just bulldoze all of it and start over.

I hope someday they'll make beautiful facades and lobby's for the two theaters. It would make the whole experience from approaching the theaters, entering and watching the shows feel much more high class. They can use the whole structure thats already there, just give it a nice facelift.

Wow, I had in mind whether the castle here would be the same or not as HK. In HK it is nothing or nothing for public to access to within.

The castle itself is a prop, but you will enter nearby and the meet and greet will make it look like you're inside the castle

It looks infinitely better than it did but I agree it still feels a little pieced together. I think the only way of truly “fixing” this park would be a DCA 2.0 sized teardown and rebuild of the whole front of the park, even then ToT would still feel out of place. I think this is probably as good as we can hope for, and compared to what was there before it’s a massive improvement.

I guess Sunflower Festival is also to justify using their costumes from the Frozen Fever short at the end.
In 2016, that was the newest Frozen thing after the first movie, before Olaf's Frozen Adventure and Frozen 2 came out.
It's also where the snowgies come from.

The blue is going to be covered in artwork for MATM at some point.

Yeah - a giant mural based on the model. That can be applied easily while the facility is in operation.
I wonder if they will try to have that up by the 5-15 World Premiere opening date.
