D23 2028 is when the final land for DAW wound be announced at the earliest. Or Paris could do it on their own.

In any case by the time Lion King was announced it was an open secret. D23 showed the concept art & models as they officially confirmed it.

Where would it go? Avatar is going where the cars road tour is now
No, Avatar is rumoured to go between Frozen and Cars Road Trip. Then the whole space occupied by Cars could become other new area.

If that happened it would probably be another Pixar land due to the proximity near the other Pixar stuff

This is an overview of the possible expansion plots around WDS Park that I made some months ago for a video. There's a lot of room to expand in the future, with other plots that could be reworked like Cars Road Trip or the Theatre of the Stars. The color scheme is there for a reason too, the yellow area is currently a protected zone that Disney can't develop for a number of years, blue is where a hotel was proposed some years back and red is a rough area for the TLK land.

I thought the Forward expansion was for DLR? Or are you referring to the Turbo Charged investments?
Would be great to get a similar attraction boost for DLP as well. Unlike DLR, expansion space in DLP is definitely not the issue. There also seem to be plenty of ideas and options on the drawing boards. So do you think we get another bigger announcement soon? Otherwise what is holding them back? Rumours from insiders were promising something major for DLP in the next few years. Though things got quiet after last year's April announcements.

Magic Kingdom is way better than Shanghai or Hong Kong.
Shanghai has terrible scale and ambiance, while Hong Kong, although fantastic in ambiance (except for Tomorrowland), is missing many of the rides that make castle parks special—like Peter Pan, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, the classic Haunted Mansion, and Pirates.

All of the original WDW parks felt like unique and great experiences that complemented WDW—until Iger turned them into worse versions of Magic Kingdom.

Having confidence further/increased investment will get an acceptable return on investment.
Lol… pretty sure this is the same size as the typical teacups. Probably more designed for 2 adults and 2 kids versus 3/4 adults.

Why is the yellow area off limits for now and for how long? Lets also hope they move on an Avengers Campus expansion for WDS soonish.

It's locked due to an environmental issue. If Disney wants to use that area they need to compensate with new green zones, quite a bit larger than the yellow space. Currently, I believe there's a 30 year follow up period. If they absolutely need to use that space, Disney could dedicate some space for environmental reasons and unlock it, but seeing how many expansion plots there are I don't think that's really a priority.
I don't know how the French law works, but I've been always amazed by the fact that Disneyland is able to remove the forested area where Cars road trip and Ratatouille are but they can't build in the yellow space which is just a grassy area.
