Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

What would the theme for the 4th lake hotel be? I wish it were New Orleans or some other USA city or place in keeping with the other resorts. I'd even settle for that Vegas hotel that was once proposed.

It’s sad we’ve got to the point where I will be shocked if this new hotel keeps in theme with the other hotels.

I’m expecting the Art of Frozen Star Wars Magical Dream Hotel

New Orleans would be interesting since the idea floated around Imagineering at some point before it got scrapped. Still keeping in theme with the other Americana-themed hotels, but has a more distinct French/Spanish flavor.

If they're going for more French/European for the new lakeside hotel, they could always look at the new Riviera Resort in Disney World...

I'm really excited for the Disney Village expansion & new Hotel...not getting my hopes too high though, I don't expect things to be too themed, they seem to go for the commercial shopping mall look as of lately.
So ironic, considering how they once wanted to create this "escape from reality" with extending the experience beyond the park...but now, they bring that look even into the parks themselves (*cough, Marvel Land*).

So this was revealed a few moments ago on Twitter:
It's really exciting how we suddenly have some news, I was not expecting any plans on this "expansion" considering the pandemic.

Exciting. Curious how theyre gonna handle security between vapiano area and the new part. Does say that construction would not begin for at least another few years..

Is another resort actually needed?
Certainly. Excluding the low season in the early part of the year the resorts fill at very healthy capacities. Just look at how many hotels have been built in the DLP area since the parks opened to meet demand yet DLP is still at opening day hotel capacity.

I agree. How the secure area will be handled has been one of the hardest things I've had working out when doing my own DV masterplanning! On these plans assuming the units only face inwards to the other units (although I'm not sure if there are units that face the hotel area?) a security area would be at the opening with a couple of the units closest to Vapiano remaining outside the perimeter.

Interesting. I’d love to see a New Orleans hotel in Paris it just feels right or a Hollywood art deco California resort (depending on how the Marvel NYNY looks) but I suspect we’ll end up with another toy story hotel.

does anyone know if there are plans for the dinner show area? I’m guessing this isn’t going to last much longer, if at all but I’ve no idea how much space it takes up and how it could be used

The Wild West show has already been announced as not reopening ever.

It’s a large arena and obviously has a significant backstage area for the horses. Judging from the plans I’d presume this whole area will be built over. However, the larger area is the two ‘temporary’ tents, but I think this is where the hotel is mostly going.

There's actually that one and another one in the plans. I must have posted about this particular one (just revealed in the plans) a while ago on here, I called it "the lake resort". It's gonna be a 4* IIRC. The other one was going to be a cheaper one.

Are they both going by the lake? Or the cheaper one elsewhere?

Is there any speculation on what the theme of the Hotel might be?
The shape is very interesting.
Or any info on what kind of shops/experiences might come with the new Village?

EXCELLENT. Paris is finally going to have a downtown/village area it can be proud of. Will the existing buildings be refurbed? I'm not mad on them at present, then again if they are going to go for some boring corporate look, then leave it as it is please.

And like everyone else, New Orleans all the way, could even have that architectural style blend into the Village expansion which I would be thrilled to see.

Found it! But the timeline was not the one happening now it seems 😅 Lots of things changed with the pandemic...

It also means the seats at the back of Starbucks (which is a wall away from the horses) will no longer stink to high heaven.
