Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

Didn't someone say (prob in here) that they'd already designed a new "Frozen" ride but HKDL were happy with the Epcot version.. so maybe they'd prefer the new one from scratch as it would be higher capacity?
Yeah the new one was the postponed TDS attraction, which people indicated was a full on E-ticket.
I'm guessing it's a much more expensive ride than FEA.

I don't see Paris wanting to pay for it, but hope to be wrong

Ah yes of course I'd forgotten about that. Well perhaps if Galaxy's Edge even just opens with one E-ticket attraction initially.. then perhaps it would balance things out if Arendelle has that full E-ticket - let's hope.

If they're starting with this in 2021, what is likely to happen first?

A whole land or a bit at a time? Marvel would seem to be the easiest in a way, but it impacts the existing park more. So maybe one of the others?

Actually quite excited about this!

Yeah that's what I was trying to work out... I think the development rolling out means the first parts actually opening in 2021?

Yes, that's what I meant. Worded it poorly!

My guess for the openings

2021: Marvel + A.S.S.
2022: Frozen + Lake
2023: Star Wars

?

Oh wait, Alien Swirling Saucers!

I must admit to being a bit sad about the backlot tour and LMA. I'm old school that way, miss them at DHS even though all the new stuff will be cool.

This is making me want to go to DLP now. Haven't been for a very loooong time, like since before the studio park opened . But this could be interesting. Actually might want to squeeze in a trip soon just in case LMA goes!

I'd venture to guess that Marvel will be first. They already talked about the Rockin Roller Coaster transformation taking place relatively soon and it would make sense if the rest of that area was done soon after. Plus it seems that the Marvel additions will require the least amount of overall work. I see a lot of the Marvel work being similar to the Mission Breakout work where everything remains open while outside work occurs on the buildings. Closing the inside will occur over the course of just a couple months allowing for minimal closing time. All in all, I see only one or two completely new buildings being built for Marvel and their addition will require no closure of anything else. After that, you build the lake and the Alien Swirling Saucers clone and open a new night time water show. I'd imagine that Frozen comes next as it serves as a nice weenie to get people to the back of the park with Star Wars opening last (all just guesses of course)...

I'm very curious about the scale of this. I used the Rivers of the Far West as a reference for the size of the lake. The concept art makes it look like the boulevard is about twice the distance between the sorcerer hat and RC Racer, which means the lake would begin once you're past the forest. At this scale you sure reach the backstage areas quickly. Does anyone know what's back there? The heli pads seem fairly close. WDS.png

Some people seem to be saying WDS is only getting the Milenium Falcon ride in their SWL.
And their Frozen land seems similar to HKD's, which is getting Frozenstorm and a flat ride.

So, ride-wise this may not be as amazing as it looks
(I hope I'm 100% wrong tho)
Even so with just these it's still far more encompassing in additions for an expansion. But it does look like just the falcon attraction for galaxy's edge. And spirit a while back alluded that Frozenstorm at Hong Kong was thrown out in favor of a better attraction for their buck, hopefully the same remains here.
