I don't think they mean TWDC fiscal Q2 but rather the actual year's Q2, which would go from April 1st to June 30th and to be honest sounds more plausible. I doubt Disney wants to open their biggest expansion to the resort, which relies heavily on greenery, trees and landscaping during the winter.

Crazy how Tokyo and HK got their Frozen areas completed before Paris. I really wonder what took so long for Paris and what delayed everything. (besides COVID).

Considering the person is referring to the ‘grand opening’, I’d expect there to be previews or a soft opening beforehand. I wouldn’t be surprised if those start as early as the end of this calendar year.

It would follow the same approach as Tower of Terror, which had previews starting in December 2007, while the official opening and press event didn’t take place until April 2008. It’ll be interesting to see whether the new nighttime show at the lake debuts alongside the grand opening as well.

Wasn't there a rumor going around of cast previews of some sort in December this year? Would line up well.

Paris' construction didn't start until 2022 as Avengers Campus was phase 1 and Frozen was phase 2. If we're going from announcement:
  • Hong Kong's was announced 2016 and opened 2023 - that's 7 years
  • Tokyo's was announced in 2015, then properly 2016. Opened 2024 - that's 8 years
  • Paris' was announced 2018 and opens 2026 - that's also 8 years

So what you're saying is that Disney announces way too soon and takes far too long to build, got it. ;)
