Today was the seven month window for our February trip. We had been booked at SSR, (our home resort), and we thought we would like to try something new. We got the entire seven days transferred to OKW without a problem! The biggest surprise was that we got a room near the Hospitality House without even asking. They offered before I had a chance to ask. We also saved 17 points!!
Please tell us what we have to look forward to.:sohappy:

We own at SSR as well but we love OKW. We stayed at OKW several times. We love Oliva's. Also, OKW has boat rentals. You can drive the boats to see Tree House Villas, Port Orleans and DTD. We also love the Sand Castle Theme pool. At night they run Disney movies by the pool.

Enjoy and welcome Home...

Since you are going in Jan. getting transfered should been pretty easy. All the Holiday crowds are gone, kids back to school.

But congrats I know it makes it even more magical when you can stay were you like the most.

as long as you are planning to go out of peak season it is pretty easy to get into any of the other DVC resorts with your points, my folks have own at both the BC and SSR, but we have stayed at OKW and their trip in september is at AKL, during off season.

OKW is our "Home" and oour favorite. Make sure you check out "Hank's Happenings" when you check in. There are alot of things going on during the week, ie; crafts, games, contests. Also, I hear they started having movie night.
The rooms are larger, the views are great, request a top floor for a better view.

The first time I stayed at OKW I was lucky enough to get the first building on the left as you enter the gate. It was directly across from the hospitality house and bus stop. I would recommend to ask for one of these first buildings if you like the area. We used the buses and I noticed that most of the time (during our trip anyway) the bus drivers made two stops at the front bus stop. Once when the entered the property and again as they exited. We were able to enter and exit the buses quickly and we always got a seat when we were heading out to the parks.

Our home is SSE as well, and we managed to make it into OKW this go around. We will be hitting the place on the 1st of Aug. And we are so excited to check out a new place. Which is one of our favorite things to do anyway.

Thanks for the tips about Hanks Happenings and all.

We've stayed at OKW also, my husband and I thought the space was wonderful in a one bedroom, much more room than our beloved BWV, beautiful surroundings, relaxing etc. BUT our kids felt that it was too quiet for them and said they didnt want to got here again, I guess they are spolied by the action at BWV or BC and want to walk out to the nighttime actiivites and the parks.

Enjoy it it is so nice there

This coming week we're going to cehck out Disneys Hilton Head, never been there before and looking forward to the visit

ForeverBelle...your home is Spaceship Earth...hehe.

In looking at rooms, I have noticed that Saratoga has the second smallest square footages for rooms. (BLT is the smallest) SSR is beautiful and pretty new but room size does matter...hehe. OKW has quite considerably larger rooms.
