just got back from this weekend wdw trip. Utterly ridiculous the trams are down still. No reason other to save on employee pay, diesel maintenance etc. super greed.

Interesting that they still haven’t announced a return date for the trams, since we are now in Early 2022. I really hope they don’t wait until March…..

Is it me, or is this about the third time they've reworked this tram loading area in the last decade?

What's all the fuss about? And why didn't they fix it right the first time they rebuilt it several years ago?

Yeah I also don't get this. It seems they keep messing with it for no apparent reason?

I liked when they added lanes with dividers to wait to board the tram when going to the park. No more people rushing for it and cutting you when its your turn to board.

What's weird is they never did the same for the return area for going back to the parkinglot. At the end of the day after fireworks I remember people always cutting once the tram showed up.

Why do I need to stand behind someone that won't fill up all available space? If you're waiting for the tram stand as close as possible to the yellow line. Why stand five feet away from it?

OK you're not wrong.... Compared to WDW's, DLR's trams aren't that bad.

What other California theme park offers trams? I can't think of any.

They were canned years ago at Sea World. Knott's hasn't had them since they took out the trolley system in the 1980's.

I remember escorting my teen nephews to Magic Mountain almost 20 years ago. We rode a parking lot tram riddled with graffiti that was like a cross between an inner-city bus and a Tijuana taxi. And every surface on it was sticky. It was memorable because it was so troubling, and I thought "Jeez, I wonder what the park is like?". I shouldn't have asked.

Seriously, what other theme parks in California still offer parking lot tram service?

Have you been to Magic Mountain since they abandoned the trams and got buses 10 or so years ago? It was strange and made unloading/loading take way longer. And yes, they were filthy. I wish I knew what inspired that change- a bus is just incredibly inefficient when compared to a tram.

One of my first jobs was working on the back of the tram at Magic Mountain (in the hitched trailer in the back) giving speeches all day.

The weird thing was there was a button that was on there to give a prerecorded speech by a professional voice actor but we werent allowed to use it.

They were awful and each one would break down usually a few times a week.

A coworker told me they were the old Disneyland trams from the 60s. No idea if that was true or not.
