No pics, I forgot my camera I'm ashamed...
It was an evening at MK.
Went into the gate. shirts are banned, btw. My friend had to turn his inside out, we were cool with that, but having to do so in the plaza, not being allowed to goto the restroom - not cool. Guest Relations got an earful. They gave me a instant fastpass thingy, but i didnt need, want or use it (seriously, i ride the TTA and if anything else has a line i'm ok).
The place was busy, but the Tomorrowland noodle station was closed again. (Can you tell i'm going toward the TTA?)
Nothing is really changed since last week The area across from the walled-up area at Swiss Family is a gazebo-type thing that used to have chairs (to sit and eat your dole whip), which are now gone. I assume the two areas are somehow related and will reopen with something new moving in.
Lots of backed-up FP lines. I know because i ahd that ticket thingy and was asking - most were running around 20mins.
On the TTA, it started to rain, so i went around again... I saw gaps when we first loaded, and bigger gaps between vehicles behind us when we started the second round. I shouldn't have pressed my luck.
Our vehicle came around the Timekeeper to the main Tomorrowland walkway and then stopped, just before the old entrance done-type thingy. Please remain seated, ride has stopped, yadda yadda.
After 15mins or less they said they were going to try and get the ride working, and off we went. We headed back to Rocket Tower Plaza, only to realize.. the next train infront of us hadn't started moving!
We came around the corner and just sitting there is a full train of people.. and we keep getting closer... It was a little scary. We were in the second vehicle of our train and the first vehicle of ours was empty - so i thought if anything it'd be crushed to bits and I'd be alright.. maybe.. if we were slowing down not accelerating..
Ok, I admit it, I was like "AHH!!! We're all gonna die a horrible magnetic death! This is what we get for screwing with physics and electromechanics! Darn you, polarity!!"
Then we hit them. We had slowed down, and the bumper on our car hit the bumper on their car and we did this slow sorta mushy-feeling "bounce" and the moment our vehicle made contact with theirs, the ride system shutdown and the automated E-stop message came on again. Please remain seated, yadda, yadda.
Shortly a host or hostess was with us, and we were being assisted. I got to walk the short track from over Buzz back to the main plaza.
All this, and me with no camera
On the way out, I spotted through the bushes near Timekeeper a backstage sign. It said Crew Members Only, anyone else subject to disciplinary action, WDI and authorized personelle only, yadda yadda, and that gives me hope that the building isn't jsut shut down and rotting.
