I'd still be incredibly happier with a "House of Mouse" themed restaurant and/or attraction. Axe some of the stores at Main Street and build this baby! It'd ROCK. And have MUCH more attention than a simple thrill attraction.

I love Astro Orbiter. My point was to emphasize that I had not heard plans about the Station, just like I know of no plans to shut down Astro Orbiter (because there are none. ).

I WAS serious about Dino-Rama.

Toontown is really lacking. I personally would like a ride like Pop-eye at IOA to be put in there. I think it would fit perfectly near Donald's boat.

I know I'm a minority, but I have no problem with Dino-rama.:lookaroun

I was on the Behind the Scenes Steam Train tour last week and was told by the train conducting guide that the station is schedled to replaced in the upcoming months.

They should have just put Philarmagic in toon town, and centered everything around that...

It really would. I saw for myself this past year that Disney doesnt need to make giant thrill rides for crowds. Philharmagic, on most days, has longer lines then Mission: Space, RNRC, and TOT. Alot of times, I'd see Philharmagic over any of the ones I just mentioned. Disney characters still work:D

to b honest, i really wouldnt miss the toon town stop all that much if they ever did get rid of it. i find its the worst themed station, i really dont no wat they could do to make it better but from what i remember its just a usually empty lot with a buncha railings going thru it! toon town is really not that great to me, its all for the younger kids tho, i have to remember. but i agree that somthing could/should b done over there. a house of mouse themed restaurant/attraction/theatre would b amazing!!! and you could like eat and actaully watch cartoons there on a big screen and you could even make it a character dinning restaurant!(if they put character dining in the parks, ive never actaully had a character dinner/checked in on the matter, i dont get out to wdw as much as id like to seeing the distance needed to travel, cost ect so i usaully just skip the character dining). but that is a great idea whoever thought up of it! i would really enjoy it!and at night they could have the spotlights goin and everything! haaha! im lovin it!

Yeah, it is certainly not my favorite...but my three year-old niece thought it was the best thing we did all day at AK. (That was, until we saw FotLK.) I have to remember sometimes that even though I wish they would have used the space for something else, young kids like it.

Toontown has really gone down in the past 10 years. I remember as a kid the "Mickey Starland Show". But other than that, it's so boring, there's nothing to do in there, and it's so crowded. Disney needs to have a MAJOR rehab with Toontown.

If it so boring with nothing to do, then why is it so crowded?

When I was at MK in January the several CM's told me that when the construction of a new Toon Town station starts, the train will run from Main Street Station to Frontierland Station and then back. This is only information that I got from several CM's, so take it for what its worth.

They'd have to do a whole lot to get me to like toontown. I have a kid, but I am not one. So although I'd do it for my son, I don't enjoy the "infantness" of it. Just IMO

My son makes 9 today. :sohappy:
Maybe we can skip toontown this year. :lookaroun

Well, as a parent, I must say the ease of seeing the characters in an orderly manner is the one appealing factor of the area. My husband did ride Barnstormer w/ the girls several times, they loved it and it was the only coaster they were big enough for at the time, ( I was pregnant so didn't ride it). But the little ones do love seeing the houses etc. But there is so much more that could be done.

yeah

Well I like the whole idea of Toontown. I like that the characters are easily accessible and like the little houses and rides. That's not the thing. They need to clean the place up, it could use some fresh paint (when using bright colors, the fading shows) and then they could just do so much more with it. It's almost like it's there just to fill space, I dont know. It just seems like it's seperated from the rest of the park.

I've been to MK about a dozen times and wondered what they were trying to accomplish with Toon Town.

Then I went to Disneyland this summer and I finally got to see what the end result SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

Toontown in DL is just incredible and really really cool. Having grown up back when cartoons were actually funny, like Bugs Bunny (hence my name!), I can totally relate to the DL version of Toontown.

The half-______ monstrosity at MK needs an enema. Can we blame this on Eisner, too?

the station here is very important for one big reason

my daughter is in a wheel chair and i am told you can use the train but not via main street

so to have 2 accessable stations is important
