Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I’m just wondering where they can meet at this point. As that guy in the video says, you can see the whole land at once, so how do you keep people from seeing Jessie the statue while they’re taking a picture with her in foam head form?

Obviously Buzz isn’t an issue, but IIRC Woody and Jessie are both one of a kind.

I'm with you. For what it is it's a perfectly acceptable attraction. Add in the fact that Pan's wait time is typically 4 times the length of Little Mermaid and it's a no brainer.
Yup. Mermaid is fun and fits nicely in Fantasyland. If TSL had two dark rides of that caliber - or even one - I'd be a lot more optimistic.

I ignored it the first time you tried to make this point, but then you tried to make it again.

1. You cannot enter Fantasyland through Adventureland, or vice versa. This was likely an intentional design choice.
2. You cannot see "just about all the lands from Fantasyland."
3. Transitional design elements do work both ways. This is just logic. If the railings, buildings, music, and plants slowly transition from one way, they will transition the opposite way if you are going back to the land you came from.
4. There are lots of other examples of transitional design choices in the park, but I would imagine that nobody is too keen to point them out to you at this juncture.

And with that, I retire from this argument.
At DLP Frontierland and Adventureland swapped spots. But they did a great job separating the lands so they don't encroach on each other there. Edit: What is jarring for me is walking down 1900s USA and seeing a giant castle.

I find it hilarious and sad that only 18 of the 49 items on the "new" DHS guide map are related to attractions or characters - everything else is a shop or restaurant. Of those 18, only 4 (four!) are actual attractions, 11 are shows and 3 are M&Gs. 17 restaurants and 13 shops. Let those numbers sink in. Wow. Here's hoping that TSL and SWGE bring this place back to life and that there are future plans on the table!
Shows, m&g and even some restaurants are attractions. Rides no. Attractions yes.

The Castles play on typical organizations of American Main Streets.

Oh my  should I tell my friend he’s been wasting the last four to five years of his life in an imaginary field

Yeah, my DS is a couple of years into a career in lighting and video design for live events around the world. Apparently an imaginary world and presumably imaginary events too! Although I'm sure I've even been to see some of them .... ;)

There shouldn’t be a problem if you see both of them. They’re dolls and action figures. There’s thousands of them. A big part of the movies is that you’re just one of many identical copies.

The entire plot of Toy Story 2 revolves around the fact that Woody and Jessie are incredibly rare and valuable.

Maybe Andy made copies with his toy manufacturing playset.

I think that TSL looks fun, but definately needs more attractions.

a dark ride would be nice, or even a 3D sim ride would be fine.

I'm not a rollercoaster guy so this land kinda sucks for me

Sometimes the criticisms here seem to go a bit overboard.

That said, if it were me, I would’ve made a character meal themed to some game that includes the Toy Story characters inside.

It’s absurd that there isn’t a TS character meal.
The costumes for the TS characters are way too bulky and lack mobility, for a character dining experience. Which is unfortunate, because really, Buzz, Woody and Jessie all need a ‘new look’ so they could have rectified that.

We know Andy’s family has money, since they have homes in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, and Orlando, with a beach house/timeshare in Anaheim (Pixar Pier). It’s not inconceivable Andy’s mom shelled out the big bucks to buy multiple Jessie/Woody toys for Andy, is it?

IIRC Jessie wasn't rare, since Al was easily able to get her and it's suggested that she was waiting in storage for years until Woody showed up, so it sounds like she was easy to get. Only Woody was rare I think.

Yeah Woody was rare, I believe Jessie and the others were prototypes.

They would be better face characters I think- especially Jesse. I wonder how they decide who gets the face treatment versus who gets the foam head treatment????
