No. I am not.

You brought up queue length as a component of judging the ride. When I questioned about applying that same component equally to all rides, you blame me for the bringing it up.

This is your distraction to diminish the ride and you've been caught in the illogic of it.
I'm not sure what you're even talking about anymore because my post was about how CMs are more likely to see things through a brighter eye due to low waits. That's it.

I'm literally not trying to "distract" from anything as I am looking forward to the land being open and going opening week. I just know that based on what CMs are saying, how the queues are mostly outdoors, and there will still only be 6 rides in the park, i'm not going to bake myself in the sun for hours just to ride a (roughly) 60 second attraction. Thus why I said i'd be more willing to wait that long for HM or Pirates (if I absolutely HAD TO). With them, I at least know i'm getting a fleshed out experience rather than a blink and you miss it one.

Given the popularity of Star Wars, I would imagine that for a great number of people, being able to see into SWL is a feature, not a deficit of SDD.

I guess the question is really the reverse. From TSL, you're in Andy's back yard. You could imagine you're looking at Andy's SW play set. But in SW:GE, you're supposed to really be in a SW outpost. Seeing Slinky would definitely kill the immersion.

Our Imagineering preview was today. Imagineers could bring themselves and up to three friends or family. Besides the weather for a bit early on, it was great. Slinky line topped off at around 85 minutes before they turned people away. Saucers was at 45 but was still letting folks on. Let me say, Imagineers could fill up that land pretty well haha. Was great to experience everyone’s hard work together and be able to share it with our families. Excited for this to open to everyone soon.

Oh and I have to say - today was very hot - and yes Slinky queue is all outside but I found the number of fans all around really, really helped. I didn’t feel like I was baking in the sun until after I got out of the line. Let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to try and answer...if I can :)

Since you asked!

- How's the loading process look for Slinky - any complications or pretty straightforward, especially from a kid perspective? And how are the restraints? I know Mine Train can be very tight for a lot of people and was wondering if Slink has similar issues.
- If you rode A S S (there's a fun one for all of us!), what's the attraction music like?
- How much seating is there for the lunchbox spot?
- Are there any spots in the land that could work for meet n greet areas? I know there's no dedicated building, but is there at least a side area with a prop or something?

Does WDW realize the acronyms they create when they name rides? A.S.S.(whether Alien Swirling Saucers or All Star Sports), MILF are the two most egregious.

What if we are all looking at this the wrong way, we are in Andy's backyard and the kid next door has the brand new Star Wars play-set. This drives Andy to try and out class the neighbor kid and a intense building competition begins, however Andy, or more importantly Andy's parents money can not compare to the neighbor kid. Andy builds a sweet roller coaster and a great dark ride play-set but the neighbor kid just points out how cheap Andy's set up is, this causes Andy to lash out in adolescences at his parents, leading to his mother starting to drink and his father leaving the family outright. The whole of DHS's renovation is just backstory to set up the first film!

Ok I admit that got a little dark there... I've been watching too much TV

They would have to be brain dead if they weren't completely aware of what they were doing. I don't usually ever go the the "what would Walt do" direction, but, in spite of his human flaws, that would have been a don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out, moment. Maybe, once, a pass could be given due to naivete, but, anything after that was just people seeing what they could get by the bosses. Apparently one cannot drink heavily and still notice thing like that. They obviously don't care, because it wouldn't be all that difficult to change the name.

Cheers that makes sense. Do we think the cut out area to the left of the midway mania entrance is for the meet and greets?

Nah. Guarantee that's stroller parking.

SORRY. I can’t answer all of these, not all of it was open to us. I’m not sure about the lunch spot. I’m testing that later this week they’ve said.

The loading process seems fairly simple BUT I believe they were modifying it in order to maximize both the FP and SB lines for us. Once you’re actually in the station it’s super easy and like most of our other Trains. It’s definitely not as cramped as mine train and I did see some larger folks, both tall and wide, all go on and haven’t heard complaints from them. The lap restraint appears a bit similar to Mine Train but def didn’t feel as tight, in width, to me.

For character MnGs, they were testing many locations but it seemed like most were on the main path, not off to the side or located near any specific props. There definitely seems to be some locations that *could* be used for that, from what they were testing so far it’s unsure what they will actually end up using.

I’m not sure about Saucers music, sorry :(
Hope this helped a little bit

Great info - thank you!

Capacity numbers and ride times would be great information to have if you can provide them.

You'll have to turn the brightness WAY UP in the Florida sun and still won't be able to see much. Hope you have a portable battery charger if you want to be able to schedule FP+s into the evening, too.

"Standing in line and your phone battery is running low? No problem, with Disney's Magical Phone Rechargers©!!! For a nominal fee, you can charge your phone while waiting to ride some of our most popular attractions!! When you're done, simply exchange it for another battery for your next attraction queue! (Prices start at $9.99 for a single use, or you can purchase the all-day MAGICAL charging option for $49.99 (plus tax). Length-of-stay charging options not yet available."
