Pretty big land with so little to do seems to be the takeaway. Based on these early reviews I'm starting to think the bigger draw will be Swirling Saucers, which is a damn shame considering Slinky's structure dominates 3/4th of the land. For a coaster it sounds like a snoozer. The day to night differences were to be expected I suppose but it's clear to me that more kinetics and guest interactives would help give daytime in TSL a needed boost.

Well, they're obviously behind schedule if they couldn't offer their most valued guests (APs) a preview. Saw many, many disappointed people being told its for cast members only. APs are not happy and rightly so

Then they should be paying attention.... for the move to these perks being monetized. Moving the ap only stuff away from the hot commodity openings

Notice all the people who look like they might be doing promotional pictures and all have umbrellas. This land is going to be hot hot hot.
I’m guessing that at night the land is going to be way prettier with all those hanging lights.
Yeah my DD said it is HOT in there and the CM's were sunburnt (until costuming caps came in). She also said there is a permanent outside queue to TSMM? Did they do away with some of the inside queue? Night will definitely be the time to be in TSL.

Um okay.....Yeah, I would definitely like to see a speedway with pink cars or vans from the 1960's. Ah let's not forget that weird cart where Mr Potato head is in and the other thing with Woody and Buzz (I can't even understand what is that). Great ideas! (sarcasm :))
It can be literally any toy vehicle Disney could come up with. They don’t have to come directly from the movies. Just like the A.S.S. Vehicles. Endless possibilities

The “other thing with Woody and Buzz” is RC, a remote controlled toy car.

You think that a remote controlled toy car is a bad idea for a toy-themed Speedway?

There are endless possibilities for other rides too. The only speedway-style attraction is in TL over in MK and is neither popular nor considered a good piece of disney imagineering. I have ridden the RC Racer in DLP and it feels like a much more complete experience than a speedway.

That's not the debate here. A Speedway style ride (good for the kids) would actually work well in TSL and there is a ton of reference material for Imagineering to pull from should they decide to make a Toy Story-themed speedway (per the original armchair imagineering discussion) Personally I think a Green Army Men-themed Speedway would be fun addition for the target audience.

When TSL opens, I'm having a feeling riding the rides at night might be a different experience.
The land being better at night is interesting, considering the demographic. My daughters are 7 & 10 and aren’t 100% when it gets late, unless they’ve had a good nap. We probably won’t be there until November so it’ll be darker and cooler earlier, but it’ll be a change for me to shift emphasis from rope-drop towards park close touring.

Of course there are possibilities for other rides.

That’s besides the point.
The discussion is whether or not a car ride can work with a Toy Story theme. It can

I'm an AP, and a huge Toy Story fan, and I'm not offended there weren't any AP previews. Previews are a perk, not a guarantee. I'll just be braving opening weekend, like we planned all along, preview or not.

Perks are what make being an AP worth it. This is probably the final straw for my AP status. WDW just doesn't seem to care about APs compared to Disneyland

Did you mean to quote me? I never said anything about a touring plan or how TSL looks at night.

Agreed. But I think other attractions would work better than a speedway.

Because they didn't have time for AP access before opening, they rescheduled you...

Disney Passholders to get exclusive access to Toy Story Land in September
