If laid out properly they could have designed one indoor queue area that could have served both Swirling Saucers and Slinky.

While I think it would have been a great idea I think they tried to stick to an almost blatant integrity of a backyard space. The thing that annoys me is less about a queue and more about a walk up QS window. An indoor restaurant would do wonders for the ‘its too hot in Florida’ crowd.

And it wouldn't have been too difficult to theme from the inside or outside since most kids games come in large rectangular boxes... The ceiling of the restaurant could have been the instructions to shoots and ladders.... or a board game like that, itself just turned upside down - even something non-IP-like a checkerboard... They could have used giant checker/chess pieces inside for stuff - simple and easy and... indoors.

Don’t get me wrong - as a child of the early 90’s I’m gonna love this addition, I just think it could have one or two more elements added - not even talking rides. As a stand-alone land, three attractions is sufficient (looks at Diagon Alley). The one thing that is rarely discussed however is what I believe is the true limiting factor on the land (behind budget) - this is a peninsula surrounded by service and utility access points. Besides reusing the soon to be backstage Pixar Place area, they’re kind of wedged in. The only real expansion area that could have been better planned is the exit path from TSM, but honestly they had no choice in that area other than a bamboo forest due to sight lines.

There’s a backstage parking garage they could level if they really wanted to expand it as well as increase the chances for a true hub and spoke design for the park.

I don't think that the 7DMT is 2.50 minutes. I don't remember the time, but, if I recall 7DMT is just a couple of seconds longer the RnRC. Someone who keeps notes in their pockets about the exact length of each ride should be able to give us exacts.

People are forgetting that the ride time is longer on 7DMT because of the slow down dark ride segment in the middle. Therefore, there is more coaster on Slinky Dog in the approx same time frame.

I love the detail of the sides on the cardboard cutouts... nice!

These imagineers never owned any of the toys they are creating. You'd have to be in your 60's. I'm starting to think the Backlot Tour was better. I don't think Star Wars is going to be mindblowing. There was already a Star Wars and now Tatooine is behind a brick wall!
