Have they ever done this before? A new tactic or a reason for concern? No soft openings for AP or DVC members. Special events in September and October instead. Source: Hub.

Not to speak for him but NFL I assume is new Fantasy Land, the construction phase of which took a very long time and did not deliver as much new or innovative attractions as hoped.Marni, can you explain more about this comment?
I have one for the 4th of July.Did anyone actually get a slinky dog fastpass? I didn't see any like 62 days out and i've checked daily since.
I have them for July 14 and 16. They were fairly available at 60 days at least for the tail end of our trip.I have one for the 4th of July.
It's happened before for minor things like one or two new attractions. But given the minor scale of TSL and the fact that they are scrambling to make sure the land is simply show and operational ready for it's own opening date you have your reasons as to why no previews.Have they ever done this before? A new tactic or a reason for concern?
I’m curious what the plan is for the current Pixar walkway on June 30th and for the future. Will they eventually build a wall of some sort to hide that it’s even there?
LMAO that was the best comment I read in a long time! Thank you! I cracked up for a while over it!Yes, and Universal will pay for it.
If it's not becoming backstage it will just be a random weird dead end with the Cars meet. I can't see them leaving that street open when it has no use. This one is interesting. If Pixar Place is becoming a backstage area as rumored, why are they building a gate there>

^ This is a fun 'cardboard' entrance to Toy Story Mania, with the wait and return times in text balloons next to Jessie and Rex.

^ I wonder what this white area in the box is going to be, and if it will move. This would have been a great place for the Mr Potato Head animatronic, talking to passersby as he does at DCA.
To me if we didn't already have toy story mania and that was New as part of this new land i think people would b a lot more excited. But in reality we get a coaster and another small ride lumped in with an existing ride and it's just very underwhelming for a park that is SO lacking. Now if they had thrown in one more small ride and maybe a replacement honey I shrunk the kids area.....well just those small changes i think would have made a BIG difference in the perception. Ill take anything at this point so I just am happy it's something but it's amazing how long this little something has taken and how much has closed in the meantime.Considering they built the other Toy Story Lands and Dinorama Carnival, and they're peddling Pixar Pier as some amazing new addition, this land still feels above that. JMO of course. I don't see why the flack would be any different. Not like this is new ground for them.
I think it's more because some just don't like it (and that's fine). And any land not featuring a brand new E-ticket and rock work will disappoint the fans apparently.
It has a use as the access to tsm without having to go through the park or through TSL. The space will still be there and it will be a good maintenance access for Toy Story Mania. If it's not becoming backstage it will just be a random weird dead end with the Cars meet. I can't see them leaving that street open when it has no use.
