Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

For those of you too young to remember, here's your chance to experience the excitement of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The barn would have to be Al's Toy Barn. To me it doesn't make sense otherwise. I can't think of any other place it would be. Hopefully Pizza Planet also moves over there since it appears out of place otherwise.

So with TSMM becoming part of this new land, I find it hard to believe that Pixar Place will not have a single attraction. Something will have to be announced there, right?

I'm thinking Pixar Place is going away as the Studios theme goes too. That side of TSMM is rumored to turn into a backstage area.

That slinky dog coaster looks longer than the 7DMT. Actually considerably longer. Having a real decent-sized family coaster, along with the expanded TSMM and the alien ride, I think that this will be a great area for smaller kids and families. There are obviously other shopping, M&G and eating experiences there that weren't discussed. I like that this is unique also, and not a simple copy of what they have in DLP and HKDL. Great work WDI.

looks like (layout wise) may use some kind of induction motors or other non chain lift system. i could be wrong.

My thoughts exactly. Pixar place could've been excellent if expanded to its full potential, with multiple movies being represented

The problem is that the park isnt creating lands that cover more movies anymore, but focus on one franchise..

I'm actually very impressed with this addition. The family coaster looks like it has the potential to be fantastic, and who knows what the Alien ride could bring. It would be really nice to see the utilization of a trackless system like what is in place at Mystic Manor in Hong Kong and Pooh/Aquatopia in Tokyo. Obviously Star Wars is the real star here, but I think this will really help DHS!

guys its a land based on children toys...Jesus what theming do you want? it looks very realistic to the cue of what it represents.....sorry if toy story isn't the tower of terror...its a child's bedroom....get over it.

Based on the concept art, I'm actually going to guess that it will take up most of the backlot tour and lights motors action. If you look at the concept art, you can depict what looks like the building behind the special effects water tank and one of the tour bridges to the far left. The new entrance to TSMM would be here. Soundstage 1 could be a rebuilt queue and exit space while track 3 will be placed where the current queue is. Pizza planet could take over studio catering company. Pixar place could still exist from where one mans dream was to just behind soundstage 1 leaving more expansion space for future pixar films, streets of america could be monstropolis/muppets and honey would get a small bugs life overlay still. Star wars would be echo lake, epic, and star tours area.
