The foundation of the Alien Spinner is not making much since to me yet. Maybe there is just more that needs to be poured before it looks right? Could it be that the attraction has changed?

So...given that not much rock work is going into TSL, is this something that could be up and running by next summer or fall 2017? At this point it looks like if they slow roll this too much, it would cost them more to open it in 2018.

Sure they probably could, but I thought the order was:
2017 - Pandora
2018 - TSL
2019 - SWL
2020 - EPCOT stuff
Just so they have something new for each of the next 4 years.

You know what's funny?
I agree...I thought that was the plan too. But seeing the ground cleared, foundations starting and realizing the simplicity of TSL...seems like a long time to build from this point forward to say summer 2018.

maybe the detail is more than we think...or maybe they are just going to move slow, lol...

I thought timelines had it in 2018.
2017 was for Avatar
2018 for TSL
2019 for SWL
2019 to 2020 for GMR fix and GotG in UoE?
That's what has been said on here as rumored opening times, but it's not like there wouldn't be anything new for 2018 if TSL were to open earlier, there's the GMR and Stitch replacements planned I believe.

We are all hoping that some of the timelines are being pushed, and that even more is on the way that we don't even know about as of yet. Sometimes, the insiders are told not to talk about something that they may know about. We can only hope.

I agree. I mean, they seem to be going at a relatively solid pace right now, and are going vertical... 12-14 months seems like it should be enough to finish this, in time to get it open for the 2017 holiday season.

Of course, this is all just wishful thinking, but at the same time I doubt it's outside the realm of possibility...after all, there was once a point where Pandora was rumored to be going into 2018 I think and it's looking like thats going to be opening a lot sooner.

Well, as long as I have the first shot...
The dang ladder won't be done being used in Avatar til late 2017, so they need time to move it to DHS to finish TSL.....;):D

Here is the TSL land utilisation:

(details omitted for obvious reasons but scale is correct)
Is the green path in the bottom right of the land the exit to TSMM? Also, this hasn't been discussed a whole lot, but any thoughts on what the likely timeline is regarding the demolition of the buildings that are where he land entrance will be? If not/can't say, no problem, thanks for the great layout visual!

Maybe they want to get TSL up and running quickly so they can do GMR-Mickey before SWL opens without a net loss in current attractions. It just seems weird, something's not adding up.
