Toy Story Hotel Planned to replace Paradise Pier Hotel?

Yeah, you can tell there are blank walls where clearly they're going to add art or pictures or something. But even then, it's very sterile and corporate looking.

Today they added some cartoon sketches to a white wall in the bar area. Um... okay?

I think my favorite element of this retheme is that the hotel gift shop is called "Hotel Gift Shop". I'm immersed in magic. 🫤

Not that it’s a WINNER but it’s better …..
The hotel gift shop will eventually be “Stor-E” a play on the Wall-E name

I guess the sign is being installed with the other art.

😂
if this was 2001 it would be: California Shoppin'
I'm surprised it's not "The Pixar Pier Hotel Store: Inspired by the Animated Features of 'Disney-Pixar'™️"

Which once again proves my theory: Germans love David Hasselhof (and early DCA hated trailing G's).

We have? That would directly contradict that franchise mandate that is behind changes like this.
I've been shouted down for years on these boards by posters claiming that none of these franchises are popular. So its clear then that Disney doesn't care about popularity when making these decisions.

I hate it. Looks like a sterile children's hospital..

Thank you, I was trying to put my finger on why this looked so generic, cheap, and vaguely creepy. But you just nailed it.

That's exactly what it looks like.

I think the Howard Johnson's on Harbor has a more immersive and interesting water pool playground than this. At less than half the price.

No offense to this lady personally, but this short video review she did yesterday is hysterical.

"It will have amazing design in the lobby and the rooms"... and then she proceeds to show us what looks like any mid-priced business hotel near any major airport.

I'm also forever baffled how the previously flattering word "amazing" has now been overused by people with stunted vocabularies and thus newly downgraded into a word that means "average".

Amazing. 🤔

Mommy bloggers are not credible reviews. They are paid by Disney to trick other women who are researching potential family trips.

Personally, I think it's great that Disney is pouring so much money in rebranding the Paradise Pier Hotel into a celebration of a movie studio that hasn't had a critical and financial hit in over 5 years.

I'm officially on the Pixar hate train.

The “Finding Nemo”-themed water play area officially opens August 1 to overnight guests as part of the ongoing Pixar Place Hotel transformation.
