Toy Story 4 (open brainstorming)

For an actual theatrical movie, it just wouldn't seem right. I mean, the Toy Story Trilogy wasn't just about good toys vs. evil toys. It was much more than that. And making a sequel just for that wouldn't seem like a good idea. Now, I know it doesn't have to be just about that, but what else can it be about? After SPOILER ALERT! they all get passed on to Bonnie there pretty much isn't any other story to tell about them. Once Lotso or Stinky Pete comes back for revenge, what could they possibly do? Defeat them again?

It's not just about good vs. evil. The new movie would never about just that. And when Lotso and Stinky Pete come back, yes, they do have to defeat them again.

Why not have the villains come back in a set of serial shorts? Kind of like the ones that Indiana Jones was based off of. Basically there would be one episode followed by another and another and another until the show was over. I honestly believe that it should end at the third movie. If they don't plan on doing anything else with the series then leave it like that. Leave the rest to your dreams and imagination...something that some of the world has seemed to forgotten...

I know, that's why I keep saying we should come up with a story ourselves in this board but, only as long as it never leaves this board and we don't try to make it a real movie. Also, mharrington, I need an idea on what else is going to happen in your idea. And, how many times am I going to mention the Toy Story Short in front of Cars 2 before we can start talking about it?

Guys, I think I might have had a change of heart...

I kept saying that "Toy Story" doesn't need more sequels. But that was because I believed that there was no longer a story to tell(which is something that wouldn't stop anyone except Pixar from making a sequel). But, then I thought, for being movies about toys, they all were kinda about the same thing. Fear of abandonment. I mean, there many other themes that could be explored like, say, sharing, the power of imagination, the importance of having a child hood, etc.. Sure these ideas could also be fitted for a TV show, but, since these ideas are so fresh, they could totally be new movies.

But, I don't know. Maybe I'm just trying to be a little bit open minded. But, with this thought, I might just change might mind.

I think we need to have both Lotso and Stinky Pete come back with a little score to settle with Woody and Buzz. And Bonnie's original toys should be along for the ride this time around...

Will there be a blossoming romance for Trixie and Rex? That would be nice, it could be similar to Jesse and Buzz's blossoming relationship in TS3

Yes.

And here's what I thought of for a plot for this time around (based on the aborted concept for TS3):

Woody and the gang notice that Buzz Lightyear is acting all weird and on the fritz. So they have him sent back to Taiwan, where he was built, to be repaired, certain that he will be fixed there.

But when days pass and they receive no news on Buzz being fixed up, they notice on the Internet that millions other Buzz Lightyear toys worldwide are also malfunctioning and the company has issued a massive recall.

Fearing Buzz's destruction, Woody, Jessie and the rest of Andy's (or rather, Bonnie's) toys set off on a daring rescue mission to save Buzz. At the same time, Buzz meets other toys from all over the world that were once loved but have now been recalled. They don't know that they are being recalled; they think that they are unloved now. And to Buzz's dismay, two of those unloved toys, though not malfunctioning, are some very disgruntled ones from Woody and Buzz's collective past, each with a score to settle with Woody and Buzz...

The old concept for Toy Story 3 wasn't thought of by Disney actually. The company that was going to take over after Disney and Pixar were going to split came up with it. Anyways I still don't think there should be a fourth one, but please continue with your work, I don't want to ruin it for everyone else.
