It shouldn’t be up to the average rider. If the average guest rider can’t point out any discernible flaws nor can I. .
Especially in a park with so little to offer at the moment. And I do agree that no matter the effect and if it's all that noticeable or not, IT SHOULD BE FIXED. Disney isn't some second rate theme park. Every detail matters.

They'd have to close off two of the four "lifting" shafts, since A&B both go to E and C&D go to F to drop. The two 5th Dimension hallways are completely separate, so work could definitely take place in one while the other was still in use and then switch once the first hallway was finished. That would mean cutting capacity in half, though, and I doubt they want to do that right this very moment. Maybe once GE opens. I barely know anything about the details of the systems that need repair, though, so I don't know how many things would require shutdown and how many things could be fixed quickly during hours when the park is closed. @marni1971 knows enough about the attractions to fill an encyclopedia, so he'd have a much better idea of what are quick fixes and what are major malfunctions. It seems like, though, that being able to get money allocated to non-essential repairs is often difficult these days. As long as we have people going, "Meh. It still drops. Who cares if some lights don't work and the timing of things is off?" it isn't a priority for Disney to fix things.I suppose in the park's current state this might be even more detrimental to wait times - but they could close one shaft at a time right? Unless the queue and exterior also need work.
They’ve closed off one drop shaft before (last time was pretty unplanned and pretty chaotic). They can do it again. Most issues can be dealt with overnight if the higher ups so desired (it’s not as if they’ve not been told an awful lot of times) but Foxtrot being profile locked would need downtime for its side. They'd have to close off two of the four "lifting" shafts, since A&B both go to E and C&D go to F to drop. It's not hyperbole when folks who know 100% how something should run and has run in the past and can see that it's current state is nowhere near correct. Hyperbole implies exaggeration. Just because you're used to something in its broken state doesn't mean that it should stay broken.
Because it’s a very mechanical issue this time.Hey @Rodj did you reach out to Disney yet?
Why would they need to close for a profile lock? I would think that's software related more than mechanical.
