Tower of Terror suggestion

I agree that there's not likely enough demand for something like this to ever happen.

For those wanting to see the special effects, though, there's always Youtube.

I had the opposite happen once. The ride skipped the spooky show and went to the drop part. Does anyone know why it would have done that? I wasn't sure if it was just a glitch or they skipped it on purpose, but it wasn't as much fun without the special effects.

They do that now. You go up through the queue, get scared, then go down the chicken elevator to the bottom. I've seen many people do this. The Tower with no Terror.

How may of you, like me, would like to see the effects in the Tower of Terror without the terror part? My suggestion is that they do some number of "easy" rides, maybe one in fifty, with the elevator descending just like a normal elevator. That way those of us who would love to see the ride and all the special effects but have no desire to do the elevator drops could do so. Call those the Tower of NO Terror ride. ;)
Otherwise, unless they start providing nitro glycerin pills and Depends, I will not be riding it.
Brilliant idea.

It would make WDW a bit more accessible. I have Disney crazy family members who will never be able to experience ToT, know what it is about. And all it would take is your simple idea. Write it in snail mail to Disney?

I second that but in capitals. NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.
It's not like I am suggesting the change the whole thing for everyone, just have two levels sort of like they do for Mission Space. There are quite a few people who cannot tolerate the ride as it is now but would love to see what it looks like.
I even have a suggestion for what to call the two ride levels. Instead of orange (full) and green (light) as they do for MS, they could call these red (full) and yellow (self explanatory).

That's uh, not possible. You physically have to see those scenes before getting to the drop shaft.

Without the Fifth Dimension scene? Did you maybe ride in DL or DLP?

Yes, that's exactly what happened - in Disney World. I've posted about it before too. It was very strange and we were all disappointed.
Was this in 2010? Did you still move through the scenes? There isn't any way for the vehicle to skip them because it physically has to move through them to get to the drop sequence.

I just asked my husband if he remembered (in case I'm remembering wrong, which is always possible) and he said it was our last trip (July 2016) and yes, it did skip some of the scenes. So I'm not imagining it lol! Maybe we physically moved, but we saw and heard nothing. That's really all I remember, but we all noticed it. It was really short. I guess it was some kind of glitch. I'm glad to know they didn't get rid of it.

It may have been a weird glitch where the show scenes didn't activate then, but you still would have had to move past them.

This is as bad as putting a delightfully happy projection show on an abandoned hotel.....
