Tower of Terror effects staing?

okay so this might have been posted already but is there any news about the summer nightastic effects at ToT if it might stay the way it is? i mean the new effects are way better than what it use to be. so is there any chance it might stay the same?

Seeing as there is a special AP event for the final ride of Tower of Terror with its Summer Nightastic events, it's safe to assume they will be gone after the promotion ends.

I would hope that most of the effects go away. Granted the wall is cool and the flashing lights in the boiler room are nice but covering up the entire fifth dimension with star curtains and adding a projection is not what I'd like to see the tower reduced to.

Thankfully it is temporary since a lot of people seemed to doubt it. So now maybe that will shut them up. There could have been some serious consequences for some had it stayed that way.

I meant the effect referred to as "the wall." Just that they light up the shaft now for a split second before the elevator drops.

The two things I'd like to see them keep is where they take your photo at the first elevator stop, and I love the creepy piano music they play as you are entering the drop shaft. They do need to take down the black curtain though, too much cool stuff back there to have it covered up.

This effect is not back! Why do people keep saying it is?

I really hope they keep the lights in the boiler room going out, the green lights in the drop shaft, and incorporate this drop sequence into the random sequences. As for the 5th Dimension, it needs to return to normal.

When I rode it last week and the week before they definitely lit up the elevator shaft before the drop...might not be the same as it was originally - I don't know I wasn't there - but its definitely there now and different from before nightastic

^ What you are seeing is sunlight coming in from the doors at the top opening. If you ride at night, there is nothing that illuminates the drop shaft before the first drop.

Alright thats true. Like I said, I never saw the original effect I just heard of it. But they never used to open the doors that much before the elevator got up to them. The initial drop used to be completely black. So in effect in the daytime at least the wall is seen.

Yep after the 15th the new effect are done as it was just part of the summer nightastic. I'm a little bummed, I won't be able to check them out. Regardless it is still an awesome ride and I can't wait to ride it again!!! :sohappy:

I gotta say the visual of guests becoming ghosts is pretty cool but i dont think its worth the lack of 5th dimension stuff....and I don't know if it was just a freak thing but when my elevator was traveling into the ride shaft i could hear the "warm welcome back for those of you who made it," like the tip top club music didn't mask it...and I know most everyone wouldn't even notice it but it's annoying.

Ya, I heard that on one trip too! I think it was because our elevator was too early or something. I forget which side it was, but I only remember hearing it once out of several trips.

I think I was on the left side, I hardly ever turn right because that line is so much longer....regardless its pretty bad for those of us who notice it and then understand what it is we're hearing

The system won't let your vehicle be too early.

Almost every time I've ridden the right side (when looking at the building) lately, I've heard the "a warm welcome back to those of you who made it" message when entering the drop shaft. Considering you were never supposed to hear this there before, I doubt you're supposed to be hearing it now...
