Am I really being nitpicked because I called it Disney? It IS Disney, folks. I never said "Disneyland"

Sheesh! LOL

And besides, I was too lazy and tired to type out Magic Kingdom (and you do realize that just about every single person calls it Disney, regardless ... it's just easier, sorry!)
Most of the folks that call the Magic Kingdom "Disney" are first-timers... and yes it is a big pet peeve of a lot of people, Cast Members especially. Many times when I worked front-line, guests would ask me from their resort "How do I get to Disney"... well... you're here!

And the fact that this site has lots of Disney Nerds. Try asking about "Cinderella's Castle" vs "Cinderella Castle" and see what happens......

No, you said Disney as in the corporation.

try MK

NOT everybody, Disney refers to the corporation brand, Walt Disney World refers to the entertainmemnt complex, Magic Kingdom refers to the first theme park built in that complex.

Anyway, now you know.

I often call it "Cindy's" in reference to the castle, restaurant, store.. pretty much anything involving the physical structure. Had one sorta snotty manager once say in response "Oh, so you and her are close enough to be on such informal terms?" and I replied "Yes, and you might be too if you weren't so uptight."

The free pin and t-shirt made the event alot better. Also a 5 min. drop and new narration durring the ride was a cool extra.
I hated hearing people actully COMPLAIN during the event. You know how much of a pain in the it must've been to have cast members work all night? I was just glad they did something nice for us at all.

I'll call it what I want. I'm far from a DISNEY first-timer.

I refuse to be nitpicked over a NAME. Move on folks, move on. But, so I don't become some hated boardmember and nitpicked at every opportunity, I'll call it MK. Satisfied?

Disney World and Disneyland are two very different places. It's pretty funny I'm being ragged on about that.

That's not the case, the issue was calling the Magic Kingdom - "Disney".

But, whatever...moved on!

I was not trying to be rude earlier, haha, hope all is forgiven? I'll watch how I prononounce it from now on, I promise :)

Overall, I'm kinda glad I opted not to attend the Passholder event. It's a shame there wasn't a bit more ... a party (free food and drinks), gift giveaways, etc... maybe a free photo on the ride ... or maybe a competition to see who could ride it the most ... glad I went to MK instead, lol, and I LOVE ToT and MGM.
