I am using touringplans.com and find that I am obsessed over it. I am constantly looking at it, changing it, optimizing it, etc. How many of you use touringplans.com and do you actually stick to the plan? In looking at mine, I pass several things I want to do to go to something else I want to do and then back. Do you find that the touringplans.com is helpful?

I've subscribed to TP for about 3 or 4 years now. LOVE it! But i only use their plans as a guide - I'm not obsessed with them. I do however visit daily to check my crowd numbers for my dates to see if they have fluctuated AND I love the WDW blog they have!:)

I have toyed with the idea for each of our last two trips. I have yet to give in, between info from this board and reading the unofficial guides I feel like I utilize good strategies in the parks.

Parts of touring plans are free, but I'm not sure that I'd subscribe due to the fact that there are some free websites out there that give you almost the same information, such as easywdw.com.:D

I love it! By playing around with the customized plans, I've learned some good strategies for touring, and things like the "walking time" indicators are invaluable for folks like me, who don't know the parks like the back of their hand and would otherwise be "way off" in estimating the relative distance of attractions from one another. The fact that showtimes and refurbs are now listed and incorporated is also a huge plus, so I don't have to spend much of the morning fidgeting over a Times Guide and trying to adjust my plans on the fly.

Not only that, but I love looking over the touring plans and imagining my family experiencing each attraction. It's a nice "sneak preview" of what we might expect. :)

I used it more when we first started going to Disney...not as much lately. The biggest things I learned from Touringplans.com/The Unofficial Guide are to get to the parks early and go to the "headliner" attractions first.

Whenever we take our first trip to Disneyland (hopefully...someday...please??? ) I'll definitely be interested in purchasing a copy of the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland.

I am obsessed with it too! I use the plan, especially in the morning, if we seem to be doing good on time after lunch, we kind of just wing it. But I am obssessed, constantly changing it. Well I only have 70 more days to mess with it! LOL
Funny thing, we are going to Universal studios for two days, and I could care less about a plan, but I guess that is because we are staying in Universal and have their version of Fastpass. Always worked out well for us.

I only use it for crowd levels. My DH and I have a time line that works for us that we like. If I was going for a short period of time, I might want to use a touring plan, or if someone who has never been, but for us, I just use it for crowd levels.

we use the line APP to check wait times to see if we want to hop from one park to another.

My favorite feature! :P

I was always a big fan of the UG and love touringplans.com. I can't figure out how to make it change for a slower walking pace, though. Maybe it's because I use the iPad...haven't tried it on the computer yet. But I am a big fan.

Also love the Lines app. That is where I turn into a big dork. I keep trying to get all the badges.

I crazy love that website.
I use the touringplans, crowd calendars, wait times etc. It is a great resource for planning a trip. I have never waited in a line at WDW more than 15 min using that plan.

It's great for people who go at busy times of year. If you're going Sept. 24-28, a touring plan probably won't matter much. But I'd be interested in hearing about your experience with it after you get back. Have a great trip!

I love using the TouringPlans.com Personalized Touring Plans that you create yourself along with the Lines app. Before we go, I set up a plan for each day of my trip as a guide with all of the attractions that we want to see, and if we happen to stray from the plan, I run the re-optimize feature and it auto-adjusts my plan based on what I have done, time elapsed, current wait times, conditions etc - it has definitely saved me time - yet I don't feel constrained or forced to strictly follow the plan. It's awesome.

It is absolutely the single most accurate and helpful WDW website out there, including this one, for those who want to hit everything, have the shortest lines, and experience everything...the printed version (they publish the Unofficial Guide to WDW books) are the best printed guides to WDW bar none. In fact, all the questions that get asked here over and over again every day are all answered in their guides and their website. That being said, lots of people think they are too structured and that it doesn't build in "relax time"....I say nay nay to that -- who needs relax time when they are at Disney and want to experience everything.....They also now update information on Universal studios, and their tips for seeing WWoHP are 100% the best tips out there....

I guess I'm the exception - I do not like Touring Plans. I paid for 1 year and chose not to renew. I've found their crowd calendars to be highly innacurate and I much prefer the touring strategies and preferred parks info put together on EasyWDW. Plus it's free.

I like Touring Plans for their touring plans. In order to pick which park on what day, I have found EasyWDW to be a bit more accurate in regards to how busy each park will be. Plus, they won't change their minds at the last minute, and TP will. Not good if you are making ADRs based on their advice.
