Top 10 WDW Guest Failures

People who take photos on dark rides bother me. Especially Haunted Mansion. When we went last year, it was my husband's first time. Someone kept taking pictures during the ride, stopping it every time. Took the magic right out of my favorite ride.

There's only one big one for me, and it is something that will never change so I try to just deal with it----too many people don't know how to walk at Disney World. I'm not saying you have to jog or even walk briskly but quit shuffling your feet and move at a reasonable pace. Also, I always go with a big group and we never find ourselves walking beside each other taking up most of a walkway, we tend to walk in front of or behind each other; many other big groups seem to walk side by side.

The fast pass thing doesn't bother me at all. People not being able to do the finger scan can get annoying; person puts pointer finger in repeatedly, "I don't understand why it isn't working, it's worked the past 3 days?!." "What finger did you use those times?" "My thumb"....

Someone mentioned cursing in the parks and I agree with that 100%...so I'm still trying to figure out why I did this. I never cuss in public and never in front of my family, not even an almost; I don't have to think about not doing it, it just doesn't happen. On the most recent trip while in this parks one slipped and a couple other times I barely caught myself. I don't like that that happened, especially at Disney

1. Abuse of ECV's. You should have your feet cut off since you like being disabled.

2. The invisible stop signs people see. I like to just keep walking right into them. It makes for even better results when I say "Oh my bad, I didn't think you were just going to stop and look at the sky"

3. The invisible glasses they sell in gift shops somewhere in Florida. So that people can't see me and walk right into me and keep going. Hips started flying out before impact recently so they get jacked up and not me. See "hipcheck" for further explanation.

4. Putting kids on sholders. If they can't see...hold them. Don't put them on your shoulders so you go from being 6 feet tall, to 8.5 feet tall. I paid just as much as you and little Sarah. Get over your little girl and realize you two dorks are not the only two people in the park...if that was the case, she would not be on your shoulders now would she?

5. Dudes who pretend to be sleeping while the bus loads at night so they don't "have" to give their seat up to someone else. Really? You are that ignorant than you are embarrassed to be THAT ignorant that you have to pretend to be sleeping?

6. People who stand in line for 15 minutes and get to the register and still have no idea what they want. You should be lit on fire in front of your whole family, and put out with 80 pound bags of quarters. or metal baseball cleats.

7. Littering, or people who don't clean up his/her mess. Get the F over yourself. Throw it away.

8. People who talk out loud along with the ride/attraction. Nobody cares you know the whole routine in the Stretching Room...dork.

9. People who "dont speak English" when it's time to follow rules. We know you are faking.

10. People who buy kids swords and proceed to let them swing them all over the place. I have made a promise to Colleen that if I ever get hit with one, I am grabbing it and breaking it over my knee. I don't care who cries and for how long. Mommy and Daddy can explain why it's his/her fault that, that happened.

1) People that call The Magic Kingdom “Disney World"

<------ Guilty. However, it stems from growing up at the Magic Kingdom, when there ONLY was the Magic Kingdom, and if you were going to Disney World, you were only going to the Magic Kingdom...

Fortunately for me, I have a husband, a 7 year old son, and an 11 year old son who are more than ready and willing to loudly correct me whenever I slip up :hammer:

Yeah what kind of idiot would do such a thing. I hate that and hope that someone doing that gets shot in the eye with a paper clip one day.

Not something you would do then? I get annoyed by people who post food pictures without a discription, which leads to everyone posting "what was that?" :ROFLOL: Keep up the good work blackthidiot

It is rather odd I must say that comments about a theme park and corporate loyalty is taken so seriously.

There is an ignore function, I have always been quite clear that I post for my own amusement, if that offends or assaults your sensibilities please just use this feature. I believe that's why its there.

Otherwise I live and post by the grace of the moderators chop-ometer, but always with rod in hand and tongue firmly in cheek.

Ohhh err Mrs.

I have to say, this is the most eloquent post I've ever seen you make.

It astounds me that your posting style is 100% an act, and that makes it even funnier. Keep it up, good sir.

5. people who let their kids pull on and play with the divider rope that holds back the crowd at parades, the rope hitting and snapping back into everyone standing in the front row.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I am a rope nazi!!! If any kid plays with a rope while we are sitting waiting for ELP, I will grab that rope, and hold it out of the kids reach, even if I have to stand up and hold it high. I've gotten countless standing ovations, and I don't care if the parents are annoyed and the kids are upset. My kids know it is my one and only personal pet peeve at the parks, and they know if they see that rope move, I'm swinging into action, lol...

I can't complain about the finger scan thing because it seems half the time my husband has problems. Don't know why. Sometimes it's not the person. We wonder if it's because he is a machinist/welder and he fingers are pretty beat up.

10. Parents who allow their (young) children to get their own plates at buffets. I rather enjoy my Mickey Waffles unlicked by young children.

9. Fake screamers in the HM.

8. Guests who are rude to cast members. Most of the CM work very hard at giving you a "magical" experience. However, they aren't perfect so we should treat them with respect.

7. People who jump in front of me during a parade. I have waited for an hour for a prime piece of real estate. You are welcome to crowd in behind me but DO NOT GET IN FRONT OF ME. I may not be 8 years old but I enjoy the parades and have paid just as much money to watch as families. I offer the same courtesy if I decide to look for a spot five minutes before Spectro.

6. Bumping into someone and not "excusing" yourself. Why do people have no manners?

5. Bus riders who are not willing to give up their seat to the elderly or to women. I am from the South and my mother told me how to respect my elders. I know that all of us feel as though our legs are going to rot off by the end of the day but there is no excuse.

4. Guests who make their way around the parks like it is a race. I say to slow down and enjoy yourself. You miss some great stuff if all you do is run from one attraction to another.

3. Stand around and gawkers. These people should move out of the way to do this.

2. Parents who curse at their kids when they are obviously exhausted. If your kid is tired, take a rest!

1. Not respecting those with special needs. One of my favorite facts about WDW is that it is so inclusive. I am aware that some people do use wheelchairs or ECV's because they are lazy. However, I don't believe that this is the norm. People should slow down and allow people in these vehicles to get where they are going. I hate watching a line of people converge around a child or adult in a wheelchair because they can't give this individual a 15 second head start. My sister has mobility issues and I wish people would be a bit more respectful. Let's just forget about the fact that some people are dishonest cause we won't know who is "faking" and who is in need of special assistance.

Yea it was always hit and miss with me, the CMs would always ask if I've applied lotion, that may be why! One day I say - no, I amputated my finger last night and reattached someone elses!

The finger scanner works for me about 50% of the time. The people that annoy me are the ones that stick their thumb in the scanner, or put their entire hand over it.:hammer:

I will reiterate what was mostly already posted:

1) waiting an hour to see the parade and then having a family squeeze into that 1' space in front of you.
2) People who feel the need to voice their political opinions during HoP
3) Not moving to the end of your aisle, yes I will step on your feet
4) taking your time moving forward in a queue line
5) waiting till you get to the register before you decide what your family of 8 wants to eat
6) kids 5+ in strollers
7) people dressed like slobs at a signature resturant
8) talking during shows/attractions
9) people who pile up their plates at a buffet, take one bite and throw the rest out
10) people who litter. The garbage can is probobly just 10 feet away, have some respect
11) people who complain they can't see the animals on the KS. Sorry we can't dictate the whereabouts of a wild animal.
