O.K....

A) What exactly was wrong with the old station?

B) Why wouldn't they change it to something else if they were going to spend anything on it in the first place?...

and C) Couldn't that money be better used on something else?

(devil's advocate)

The station was a temporary structure built for Mickeys Birthdayland (originally). 16 years later and the temporary idea has taken its toll - I believe the steel tubing was badly corroded (not to mention the canopy was in bad shape) - this is why the majority of the land is built from cheap tents - theye wern`t meant to last this long!

Thank-you!

BTW...STGRhost...I happen to agree with you. I can't afford a whole new house when my paint starts chipping. I had no idea of the condition of the steel/canopy - no highly visible signs.

:)

But if you are going to bulldoze your house, are you going to replace it with the same house, or go for something nicer?

Looking at the Train station last weekend, they have cut off a bunch of the steel pipes.

Depends on what I can afford, I guess. And whether I needed to budget for other things (do I have any other homes? Cars, kids?) I don't want to spread myself too thin, or spend money I may not have...

(Of course, I am decidedly NOT a buisness minded person, so I may or may not be talking out my on this issue... )

I am cracking up, I mean it took me 10 minutes to stop. You see I share my breakroom with the train guys and if they knew there was a thread for this their heads would explode. Ya that poor station was falling apart, the old sections are chilling in the Pluto lot of cast parking, pluto lot is not the same as the Pluto lot in guest parking just FYI.

Maybe that's why the station needs to be redone, and here I thought the construction workers were doing the demo work.

When I was there I might have made the paint start to rust. I COULDN'T HOLD IT IN! IT'S A NATURAL PROCESS!
