Tony's Town square

Has anyone eaten at Tony's Town Tavern recently and liked it? My DD really wants to go there but i've heard not so good things about it! What did you like or dislike about it?

We ate there in December, and it was ok.

A bit pricey for mundane italian food, but nice atmosphere, and one of the few true table service places in the MK.

I had the Eggplant, and it was good, but 20 dollars is a lot for eggplant. My wife had the spaghetti, but didn't really like the meatballs (but she is a picky eater).

We would probably eat there again, if the situation was right.

A dinner menu can be found here:

Thanks for the menue link scorp111. Price is not much of an issue because we are most likely doing the dining plan. I was more concerned about the quality of the food and service because I read a lot of bad reviews.

In that case, I would say go for it. The service was good in December, they even went out of the way for us, when my wife was trying to locate certain pins on their pinboards.....

The service was fine when I went. I was actually in alot of pain that day because my back was really screwed up, so I had trouble really enjoying my meal. I got the Italian Panini and all I can say is, it was alright, but the peppers they use for their hots are ones that I don't really like, so I took those off and for the size of the sandwich, it was really pricey. I've gotten larger Italians from Publix for less and I liked those alot better.

I've never been impressed with the food at Tony's. Usually when we eat there we just get an appatizer of Calamari and a couple of slushie drinks to cool off. We're getting quite a collection of Tony's mugs from our little stops there lol :)

I've eaten at Tony's many times, and I've enjoyed it each time. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I'm a Lady and the Tramp fan, but the food has always been good. My favorite is the Chicken Parmesan. Service has always been great for me, except for once when we had the last priority seating. They seemed to rush us a bit, but the food was still good.

Thanks for your responses. Trying Tony's for drinks and appy's is a good idea! And yes we are planning to eat at CRT, 2 times! Once for breakfast and then again for either lunch or dinner! :slurp:

I love this restaurant, especially the atmosphere. We were on one of the dining plans (silver one) when we ate there and all I remember is getting more food than we knew what to do with it. I loved the atmosphere and theming the best though. Don't forget to check out Lady and Tramp's footprints at the bottom of the steps at the entrance! :)

We just ate at Tony's last Monday (the 7th) and it was very good. We were the first family to be seated at 5:30pm and were given a special photo op at the restaurant. The service was professional and well attuned to the needs of children. The outdoor patio is great for people and parade watching. Basically, you get what you pay for in any establishment. At Tony's you get alot.

Do you always need a prioriy seating to eat there? I'm more of a spur of the moment person unless I'm planning a character meal or something.

Any of the sit downs in MK, Tony's, Cinderella's castle, Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace usually need PS (of course depending on the time of year).

Belle, our trip was very, very nice. Looking at each specific thing I came away with a feeling that something was nice or cool, or good. But I was never wowed. Until I sat back at looked at all the pieces together as a whole. This is where I was amazed and wowed at how special WDW really is. Walt really had a great dream that wishes do come true. The dining plan was really the only disappointment in the whole trip. Someone at corporate missed boat on that one. - TAH
