Tony's Town Square Restaurant introduces new Main Street Electrical Parade viewing package

Wow. Terrible food, exorbitant prices, and a barely functional parade from the Nixon administration. They're really firing on all cylinders now, aren't they!

Sounds like a joke, but sadly this is really what WDW is offering these days. Depressing.

I actually got ill once after eating at Tony's. I blame the mushroom soup. Thankfully, the pain and nausea passed and I was able to enjoy the rest of my visit. But I'll never eat at Tony's again.

I'll be doing this on our next trip for sure. Love Tony's and the parade. Sorry to bring some positivity to the boards. I know the trend is to just complain about everything.

And the Robert Iger Company truly appreciates guests like you! Here's a tip: while visiting WDW, don't miss Expedition Everest and its perpetually-broken Yeti AA. That strobe light is really state-of-the-art!

Ah yes, the trend here is the negativity, not the disappointing money grabs from Scrooge McMouse. I'm glad you're happy with little, but maybe learn to accept others arent

It would have been a bit more profitable to offer this as a "Sparkling Breakfast at Tony's plus Electrical Parade Viewing" Package. There is precedent there, Tony's has served breakfast in the past (yes, I'm really old).

Why not generate revenue by offering something new and unique (in a space, place and time that's not being utilized), instead of reselling something that's already being sold?

"Sparkling Breakfast at Tony's plus Electrical Parade Viewing Package" equals everybody on the phone booking reservations… "Main Street Electrical Parade Dining Package" just equals lazy.

Imagination and creativity is not limited to people that draw cartoons, but can and should be applied to all manner of jobs and in all departments, from the custodian that draws a hidden Mickey on the street with some kid's spilt water, to the person planning and executing these add-on packages.

You know what's funny?
I wouldn't do this.

But I did price out the meal I would get and id be saving a good deal of money!

yeah...if I liked Tony's and wanted to have lunch there one day and was also planning on seeing the parade that evening, why wouldn't I take advantage?...especially if I was on DDP. I don't think doing so would mean I think this is the best idea since sliced bread. It just means I would take advantage of what WDW is offering if it suits my plans...

But as I mentioned...not a fan of Tony's, so this would never work for me.

That's fine if it works for you. I'm not a fan of all the complaining either, but the constant new upcharge events is out of control. It's clear management has been told by execs to find any new sources of revenue they can, regardless of the long term damage they might cause the Disney brand.

If guests have a disappointing lunch at Tony's and then see their reserved viewing spot next to the guy who shoved his way to the curb, there will no doubt be some who will see a lack of value.

I would never eat at Tony's and the parade is old and tired. But for those who might want to try this here or the approved spin answers to some of your questions sent to be by a friend working at MK. Might save you a phone call.

Because it can make money and fill an awful restaurant. I wouldn't look into it any more than that? Now if this money was going to a replacement for MSEP, I might be able to support this, although not by actually participating!
Why not try filling the restaurant by offering good quality food at reasonable prices?

Ehh, it'll never work!
They already did it with unpopular attractions with FP+. Only a matter of time before this strategy spread to other unpopular things instead of just making them better.
