Note the Tomorrows Child listed is missing the 3rd verse, as heard on the ride but not on the CD:

Tomorrows Child
Helping to unlock the door
Tomorrows Child
Showing us ways to explore
Helping convey ideas of today
(unknown childrens line)
Reach for hope and desire
Building a world to in-spi-re

I was wondering where those were. Thanks, Martin!

I get to study the lyrics of my favorite song as poetry, and I've been on an EPCOT Center kick, so I figured one of these songs would do me fine.

Now I can check if my version matches up! I had often typed out the lyrics to see if I could transcribe it...Didn't know you had it, Martin!:lol:

But, last summer I was on a Caribbean cruise (not DCL, for once) and there was a guy who was sort of a lounge piano player/comedian/game show host. This guy could sit down and play/sing damn near any old Epcot song.
Seriously.
I was walking by the little bar area and heard him doing a verse from "Energy", so naturally I went in to check it out. Dude was good. I casually tossed out a "Hola, me amigo!" and off he went with that one. Later got some "Tomorrow's Child" and "Imagination" and .....pretty much all of them.
Way good times.:D

Dang, Lee... That rocks! How much of a tip did you end up tossing him to hear all those old classics? :D

Hmmmm...most of them don't have very impressive lyrics. Some of them sound like the lyricists just threw together whatever rhymed.

Energy, there is no living without you
We must keep learning about you
Now is the time to learn how to
Energy, you are profound
You make the world go round and round
You make the world go round
You make the world go round
You make the world go round

My favorite (for real) is Golden Dream—now that's poetic! :sohappy:

Apparently, thanks to a tipoff from a blogreader, the mystery lyrics to Tomorrow's Child:

Tomorrow's Child, (Tomorrow's child.)
Helping us unlock the door
Tomorrow's Child, (Tomorrow's child.)
Showing us ways to explore
Helping convey
Ideas of today...
Where we will find
inspiration forever to
Reach for hope and desire
Building a world to in-spi-re...

So the mystery of the missing lyrics heard in the attraction is finally solved... for now...
