Does anyone know why they tore it down and if they are planning on rebuilding it? They always have the Mickey's Night Before Christmas there which my family has got to see or it is just not Christmas! Now where is it going to be held?

The Fantasmic Theater is at DHS. I doubt that a show at the MK would be at another park.
he was being sarcastic :animwink: And to the OP, from what I've heard, Twas will be no longer....
Thats too bad. It was a really good show.
To the op, its becoming parking basically for the time being. People in the know say it will be developed into an attraction or something down the road.
Because parking is the innovative way to go!!!!! That's called progress.
You honestly dont expect management o have to WALK a far way to work do you!?
That's like saying "the sun will rise in the east". Nothing epic or new about that statement. :lol:According to Mr. Hill, this is a temporary use of the space until something bigger comes along (which makes sense).

While it wasn't epic, it most definitely was new when JH posted that bit of breaking news 3 months ago, when no one had even a foggy idea that GPT was going to be demo'd. Granted, we haven't seen it actually become a parking lot, yet. But he was exactly right both in his breaking the news of the demo and the date the demo would start.
I already showed you once where someone else had the GPT story long before Jim Hill.
I'm starting to think you are actually Jim Hill or his wife.
You mean that Disney Gossip article you showed me that A) Doesn't mention anything about GPT, or its demo, or it becoming a parking lot, and B) was dated November 5, 2008 as opposed to the JH article dated 10/28/2008? Or are you referring to another one of your helpful insights that I've forgotten about?
We all know you do have a vivid imagination, so that makes sense.
Could they not put Mickeys Twas A Night in the theatre for Stich and have the Twas The Night in that theatre on the party nights?
No, this from DG Sep 3 2007! No imagination required.
Last year there was a rumor that Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain would get a major makeover, perhaps a new track, and certainly new special effects. That hasn't happened, although the rumor persists. As part of that makeover, the old Tomorrowland Skyway station would have been converted into a sit-down restaurant with a futuristic eco-green theme.
Now, I'm hearing a rumor of a new E-ticket that might pop up nearby in Tomorrowland. It's being reported that the Galaxy Palace Theater and the old Tomorrowland Skyway building may be demolished to build a new big budget, and hopefully high capacity, attraction.
I'm not sure how much faith I put in this rumor. First, I don't think it's logistically possible without crossing over the train tracks. The footprint of the Skyway station is actually quite small and backs right up against the railroad. Second the Galaxy Palace Theater is not that big of a space and most of it juts out into the already valuable backstage parking and work area. Third, the Carousel of Progress sits in the middle of those two buildings.
So she was talking about the rumor long before JH. Obviously the e ticket is not happening or the restaurant but instead they went with the stitch party. This was also written during the rumored CoP removal for an Incredibles attraction, so it all makes sense. And the e ticket is still possible.....someday.

So you think a story JHM somehow ripped off a story that was published a year and a half before the demolition began? If they began construction on Beastly Kingdomme tomorrow, would you credit the bus driver would said they were going to start it up again simply because he said so before anyone else? At some point, a rumor is too tenuated to be reliable. For all intents and purposes, JHM broke this story.
Yes, she was talking about the rumor of using that space for an eticket long before JH was, (although I wonder if a search of JH archives would not produce some reference to using that space for an eticket as well).
But she was not talking about the date GPT would be demo'd and what its "temporary" use would be. That's what the JH article was about, and that's the info that was completely unique to JH and, in my mind, can potentially prove (if we see that parking lot) that he does have at least some inside information that is worth listening to.
I enjoy slamming him just as much as the next guy, but a little credit where credit is due.
