Tomorrowland stage removal complete

I was surprised to see today that the removal project has been completed and the walls are no longer up.

The area is pretty nice now. The landscaping you see in the picture is completely new. Some of the concrete looks a bit off color-wise, but it might fade over time.

BTW, Magical Music Days was held at the Galaxy Palace Theatre. How appropriate!

It looks great! I'm so glad to see that they didn't build a newer stage (which is what I thought they were doing for some reason). It is so much more practical to use the Galaxy Palace theater. I mean it just sits empty most of the time.

I always thought it was strange they didn't use the Galaxy Place theater before and instead uilt a new stage within viewing distance of it.

I am so glad they removed that stage. Last week, I could tell it would not take long to finish it. I think they were just waiting for some dry days so they could puor the concrete. Are the dark squares in some sort a pattern, or what?

That makes Tommorowland look so much better. Tommorowland is so crowded all the time that it needs to the large open spaces.

Im happy they are using the old theater now... that stage was so out of place... (even though i did go to it a few times to watch what was there...)

Kinda sorta. There's a little bit of a checkerboard thing going on, but I don't remember it really meshing with the rest of Tomorrowland. I remember thinking that it didn't look quite right from the quick glimpse I got from the TTA.

I didn't see them when I was there. I think the Collegiate All-Star band performs there, though.

Hopefully not. But it is very unlikely. Any new attraction would most likely take the place of things in this order:

1. Timekeeper Theatre
2. Skyway Area
3. Cop Theatre

But Tommorowland still has room to expand out near the Berm. It would be a tight squeeze due to the Contemporary but otherwise I think the next new Tommorowland addition (which will most likely never happen because the last building added was that temp stage and before that it was the Peoplemover).

That area looks pretty good to me, I'll have to check it out in a few weeks. I think I can actually remember when there was no stage there.... I like it empty!
