Not a bad idea however fictional sponsors only have fictional money. Disney needs something more real.I've always thought a nice cost-effective solution for Tomorrowland would be to return to the World's Fair roots--keep the retro, mid-century space architecture, maybe amplify it a little bit, and re-theme/re-story each ride and attraction as if it were part of a real expo, meaning every attraction has a "sponsor" (corporate, governmental or educational). The sponsors could be largely fictional. A Wall-E dark ride brought to you by Buy-N-Large. Re-theme Star Tours to Adventure through Inner Space, sponsored by Pym Technologies. Disney could have a lot of fun with the fictional or non-fictional sponsors... DevTech, The United Galactic Federation; San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Star Command, The Resources Development Administration, heck you could even re-do the old Alien Encounters ride with the actual xenomorph, sponsored by Weyland Yutani.
That way Disney keeps Tomorrow flexible, without being tied to any specific time/place/IP, but still gives it cohesion and a backstory--a reason to exist--which it is sorely lacking right now.
I was about to say that they might be used for planters. If they are for a fountain i am surprised that they didn't add a basin at the bottom of the installation. No matter how well those things are placed there will always be water that splatters past the elevated basins. Also where does the water go after it reaches the lowest bowl?i like it! they weren’t always just used for water; here is a picture from daveland showing that they were also used as planters
Sad thing is it would have cost them less than $200 to turn those into a fountain and tie it into the irrigation system they put in. It probably has drip line irrigation in those planters. How much more effort could it be to turn it into a fountain? The new items are planters.
no water feature (of course $$$$$)
How about we focus on a future where we don’t waste our natural resources? Fountains in Tomorrowland are unnecessary and shouldn’t be part of the design.Sad thing is it would have cost them less than $200 to turn those into a fountain and tie it into the irrigation system they put in. Your nuts. I guess the World of Color is a huge waste of natural resources also. How about we focus on a future where we don’t waste our natural resources? Fountains in Tomorrowland are unnecessary and shouldn’t be part of the design.

Which makes this kind of eeww....Aren’t the water features in the park reusing the same water, in a cycle...?

Utilitarian view of the future is cold and bleak. Beauty is necessary and fountains are beautiful. How about we focus on a future where we don’t waste our natural resources? Fountains in Tomorrowland are unnecessary and shouldn’t be part of the design.
World of Color isn't in a land about Tomorrow though.Your nuts. I guess the World of Color is a huge waste of natural resources also.
A water feature adds a lot of beauty and provides a calming effect for crowds.
Can they copy the People Mover in that case? It's easier to copy from the past than create something brand new for the future.

One of the Toy Story bus drivers told me Good Year doesn't make tires small enough for the People Mover anymore. Can they copy the People Mover in that case?
I am sure someone does or can. That is not a valid excuse. One of the Toy Story bus drivers told me Good Year doesn't make tires small enough for the People Mover anymore.
