Tomorrowland Overhaul Speculation

They gone!

I'm telling you something is afoot. Especially since that box looking thing I believe is a CM entrance to the lower part of TL. They're going to have to redo that entrance as part of this. A larger project then would be part of Project Stardust.

I mean I might be wrong, and I can accept that, but all signs point to something larger happening.

They could... but what about throwing a tarp on it instead?

If thats the case then we shouldn't expect any sort of announcement until 2023 D23. Which wouldn't make sense in my book.

Why start removing the TL french fry rocks if they aren't moving forward with at least some redo soon. They could have left those then for a couple more years.

Timing just doesn't make sense for a project slated 5-6 years from now.
I think this was always just a part of Project Stardust to widen pathways and ease congestion.
I will be extremely happy if I’m wrong about that.

Two things are part of my understanding.

The first is that the only things underground in TL is the tunnel that runs from the back of the Innoventions building to Pixie Hollow, and various minor corridors for the Tomorrowland Terrace stage/greenroom, old Rocket Rod queue, and servicing the Galactic Grill. I've heard there may also be a couple of small offices down there too. I'm pretty sure there is nothing underground in the french fry rock area.

The second is that the now exposed structure, which was inside the northern french fry rocks is the mechanical equipment for the Astro Orbitor. There is really no way that structure can be moved.....at least not without extensive tearing up of the ground. My guess is that they will somehow just redress that structure.

I have to agree with others that this is an extension of Project Stardust and not an indication of a renovation of Tomorrowland....at least not anytime soon.

Could be, could be.

Or maybe something is coming. Who knows. Again timing is everything. And while yes I agree the rocks are part of Project Stardust budget (I don't think that was ever in question). Its just funny we started hearing the rumor drums beat louder and louder about a TL redo over the last couple of months. There have been rumors for almost a year now that the PM tracks got budget to be removed as well. So things are in the works, again timing....

BTW, will I be surprised if they don't announce anything, no. I might be slightly disappointed, but not surprised at all.

From my understanding, there’s never been budget in place to remove the tracks. It’s been discussed and looked into, but nothing more. Like another poster said as well, that box isn’t a passage to go underground, just machinery.

I'd have to go find the article, and obviously given recent events we have to take it with a grain of salt, but I believe I remember reading it in a MC article from awhile back.

Anyways, it's gonna happen eventually. Hopefully sooner, but it'll happen.
