Their Pirates is a bit shorter than DL. Shock.

That is indeed shocking. I'm hoping to make it over there one day to visit for three or four days and bookend it with a trip to Tokyo so I can experience what is said to be the best Disney park.

IMHO best pirates is Paris. DL a close second.

just watched a video...the way it was designed flume wise is slick scenes aside....the overpass where you can see the fort battle before you drop down was cool. also the explosives drop was well done. my only critique would be that i favor the architecture of WDWs village/fort. A very minor and opinion based squabble. simply better it is indeed.

i watched a video of that the other day; it took me 3 times longer than the ride itself because i kept pausing it to look up how they did certain effects. it's fantastic

It has some amazing effects but is a stand alone compared to the legacy versions. Similar in only name.

In the past few days @CarouselOf has stated that:
1) Guardians of the Galaxy has been shelved as a replacement of Energy in Epcot, and they are looking to put it in DHS (Not Tower of Terror).
2) Tomorrowland will be renamed to something along the lines of "Future World/Land"?
3) Tron will replace Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
4) Sugar Rush/Wreck It Ralph will replace Stitch's Great Escape

I am all for #'s 1, 3, and 4.

Let's be honest. Minus ToT Tokyo pretty much has the best of all attractions.

Simply my opinions of the three resorts I've been to:

• Tower of Terror: DHS 1st, TDS 2nd, DCA 3rd
• Splash Mountain: MK & TDL coin flip, DL 3rd
• Haunted Mansion: MK 1st, DL 2nd, TDL 3rd
• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: DL 1st, MK and TDL (coin flip for 2nd)
• Pirates: DL 1st, TDL 2nd, MK 3rd
• Jungle Cruise: Purely a matter of preference across the board.

• Haunted Mansion (unless of course you're comparing the Holiday version)
• Little Mermaid (same ride, MUCH better theming)
• Toy Story Midway Mania (same ride, better theming plus third track)
• Splash Mountain

Surprised to see a few folks list the WDW HM ahead of DL. I've never been on the DL version, but assumed fans would prefer it. Especially with the Hatbox Ghost returning.

Even before the big changes over the past decade, the WDW HM has enjoyed better pacing since day one with a few small but important scenes added at the beginning. The DL version doesn't pick up until the Endless Hallway scene.
