News Tomorrowland love

But look closely at the buildings behind...the clean white angled supports beautifully match the new entry piece...
I loved the original white Tomorrowland.

I LOVE the new sign. I'm not a person who always likes minimalist design- but here it works. The '94 version of Tomorrowland had certainly had its turn and the cleanness of this look is refreshing- as well as being a throwback to original MK Tomorrowland. Now, I'm just ready to see the rest of those artificial looking metal fins to go away to finish completing the sleek overlay aesthetic.
If they complete the aesthetic and not just rely on paint, the new TL will be lovely. That scenario seems to be getting less and less likely.

This is a real night shot?
Hmmm. Sleek and simple, but needs blue in the "tomorrowland" part. It might work, if they clean up the rest of the park to match.
It really real yo.
And there's the issue. Who knows how far they're going to go. They are refurbing Star Traders right now, probably to go with the "new" theme.
Edit: So taking another look at the picture and comparing with a old one...

Fins out front are disappearing now. No longer just the ones in awkward corners. OH also there's no longer power going to the "tall" fins that are on the ground. They used to light up white at the top and at the very top, a blue light was on. Those will hopefully be going soonish maybe.

It'll be interesting to see. Heading there in 10 days, and we'll check it out during daylight and night. I always loved TL at night, when they had all the lights working.

I’m not against these changes but I feel the traditional Tomorrowland look clashes with the cartoons more than the 94 look did.

Now IF we could kick the cartoons out.... but that’s not going to happen. If anything we will have more added for the 50th.

It would be nice if they brought back rocket to mars for the 50th.... since the theatre is still pretty much in tact i can’t imagine it would cost much.

Is monsters popular? I go now and then and it’s fun... but not worth the space it takes up. I’d put it up on the screen at the rocket tower plaza and cycle through pre-recorded and live segments. Would be nice to have an attraction there... again why don’t we edit what needs to be edited from timekeeper and bring it back for the 50th? Or if not that... something.

How did they make the sun disappear? Surely a company that can do that can make a blue drink that doesn’t taste like blended caterpillar.

I agree about Monsters. I like the show, but I don't see how Monsters, Stitch, or Buzz fit the land. I guess it is 'fantasy' and some might argue future/fantasy works in TL. Having an original show return for the 50th would be great!

Kinda like everything with Disney right now... it’s such a weird mix. Classic Tomorrowland, meets last decades hot cartoon ip’s and plopping down a coaster based off a remake that did ok at the box office 10 years ago.
I can somehow understand Buzz, stich, maybe not monsters inc... BUT TRON?!?!! who thought that IP could be a cool one to add?? make the same ride and make it IP-less. Wich kid knows tron? wich adult likes tron?

By the way, I love the new retro-futuristic style. Hope it affects all the land, including the speedway. They can borrow some ideas and styles for the now going to be extint Future World

And please. remove the blue fake moutain-rock on the entrance. Leave it empty (or give us the waterfalls again!)

Add Song of the South to that pile.

And Wind in the Willows. (Too soon?)
