Any reason this isn’t getting removed as well? It screams 94.
I fear we’ll end up with even more of a hodge podge land, like DL’s
The new land was always proposed to have things.... sticking up.Are they not going for the smooth white/blue/purple buildings look anymore? Sounds like it’s becoming a mix of 94 and classic Tomorrowland.

There's no reason for it not to return. Here's hoping it will return in some fashion, perhaps even smoke-free!

Tell that to the people constantly smoking there still lolThe smoking area was moved a while ago.
Shutting down the pathway for a few months to a few years and building an E-Ticket attraction on top of it.Not sure what the solution is though.
Maybe making the whole park non-smoking? Much of the US has gone that route, I'm surprised Disney hasn't followed suit.Tell that to the people constantly smoking there still lol
The sad truth is that any area slightly out of the way with minimal crowds/supervision is considered an unofficial smoking area by smokers. That's the unfortunate side effect of cutting down the smoking areas to such a small amount. Not sure what the solution is though.
While I would be thrilled to see this happen and it would be easy enough to enforce with everyone getting a security screening now, I don't see it happening for at least another 10 years or so. The sad truth is people still love their cancer sticks and banning smoking entirely would seriously effect park attendance.Maybe making the whole park non-smoking? I don't see it ever happening.
Heck, IMO recreational pot will be legal in Florida, if not nationwide, within the next 10 years and that will be a whole other thing to deal with. Better to have at least some corners of the park smoking areas. At least you can't smoke anywhere indoors or in the queues.
Love their cancer sticks? They are addicted, I am a former smoker and can tell you that many do not want to smoke but are compelled to smoke. I would love if no one smoked and the tobacco companies went out of the biz but to say they "love" them is a bit disingenuous. While I would be thrilled to see this happen and it would be easy enough to enforce with everyone getting a security screening now, I don't see it happening for at least another 10 years or so. This gets beyond the purview of this thread, but unlike smoking, cannabis is much more likely to be regulated akin to public consumption of beer.
