I hate to correct you since you're in the parks so often, but I think you're wrong with the footers. Here's a shot from Google Maps, Feb 2016:

I stand corrected regarding the "sail" column supports on the Laugh Floor side of Tomorrowland. I confirmed they were in existence before. I will research better in the future. However, the support column that is currently being replaced was one of the original supports that connected with the roof of the building, which is now being replaced.

Yep, I was talking about the sail...things. I initially thought it was brand new until I paused for another couple seconds. Honestly, who really remembers what supports/footers look like until a construction wall goes up by them? Okay, us weirdos here but that's beside the point...

I like this.

I still wish Monsters were in Pixar Place but eh, I can see why they're keeping it. It's not a problem in their eyes even if we all (most I should say) agree it's in the wrong place.

Here today and there is a box over the Monsters Inc construction zone. Also strangely enough there’s these red poles ALL over Tomorrowland. It’s very strange.

Looks like maybe they're poles on which to attach signage of some kind. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Going for that 1990's red-orange and purple color scheme, I see.

Are these ones old too? I swear there are SO MANY. This isn’t like a small detail that I’ve just never noticed. There’s one right where the alien rocket use to be.

It’s so weird becasue I have a friend who goes weekly as well and he just noticed the poles when he went yesterday. Something had to change for them to suddenly be so noticeable.

I dont remember them ever being their either..... I also do not find them in any of my old pictures. but maybe I just missed them for years.

My assumption is that people are noticing due to the removal of the Laugh Floor facade. When it (the UFO structure) was there, it was the main obstruction on the pathway. Without it there, the lights are what people's attention is drawn to since they're the only objects that obstruct the path
