Yeah ... um ... nobody insisted that. The closest anyone came to saying that was me, and I said I was "guessing" it was being removed because of them being cheap and that it was a more likely inference than them simply doing a standard refurb.

I said if it was replaced with something stupid, I'd be angry. Disney has lately been known to take out something and do just that, or just remove it altogether.
It's understandable that people would believe that it would be removed.

I have figured out that the d&g crowd never admits they are wrong. They just move on to the next "crisis" they manufacture. Stop falling for the scam people!
On a slightly related note about items disappearing without any official announcements, Buzz has flown the coop at last word and no longer looms over Muppet Land. This was definitely on my list of poor adds from the past that needed fixing. That list continues to get shorter and shorter. So hopefully Buzz is headed elsewhere and won't return to the roof of Pizza Planet (which also needs a reimagining) All in all a great day!

Pizza Planet needs to be moved to Pixar Place. Would love for the current location to be changed to something Muppets with the new movie being released.

And again, 2 of us complainers responded here in this thread. Disney is cheap, and they make cheap moves all the time. If we don't complain BEFORE actions are taken, then it'll be removed, and then what good does complaining do? The damage is done. Look at Imagination, it took a billion complaints before they did something to "fix" it, and it's still blah.

Is the stage still there in Tomorrowland? The stage they never seem to use?
Yes the dance party stage is still there and is being used daily for meet and greets and dance parties.
