When we were at DW in December we saw the alligator at the same place behind the turkey stand. They had a CM standing there with a walkie talkie. We started talking to him and he said the alligator's name was Tic-Toc. He said it was his job to stand there and make sure it did not try to come out of the water, and if it did he was to use the walkie talkie to alert animal control. Kind of scary

I`m surprised Disney havn`t put in an underwater gate behind BTM/under the Railroad bridge to keep gators etc out... persumably there is fencing by the berm behind the Rivers so they must be getting in from Seven Seas Lagoon / EWP service canal?

Just a thought.. have any Railroad trips been halted due to gators on the track between Splash and Toontown?

So there is no alligators there now? Tis a shame as i would have loved to scare (introduce?) the girlfriend as she has never seen one before  (not many in the UK!).

Is there anywhere other than Gatorland where we could see them? SeaWorld?

He was there last week (Which is when my photo was from) and for the record, I didn't feed it, but some other on-looker did. Sounds like it knows where to find turkey...

Punkss, Gatorland would be perfect for your girlfriend. Gators very up close and personal...Have a great time at WDW. We just returned from London and will also be at WDW in September.

I've never heard of Gatorland before but it sounds like a real tourist trap    . If you want to see gators I suggest you check out the crocodiles at AK (close enought to gators) or Busch Gardens has a nice exhibit.

Better yet just go check out some wild ones at practically any state park or nature preserve area.

How do Aligators normally live in the wild? I mean, are there usually bunches of them, like racoons and such, or are they pretty isolated and dispersed, like moose?

Thats the only two of the river I have

No others of the river drained. Those are from my friend Gregg.
He took those in early 90's I think.

Gators are very solitary out in the wild. :)
