Tokyo Disneyland Resort Expansion

First thought was a new daytime parade already or even nighttime, but then I remembered Halloween and Christmas and those are both way over due to be replaced, by TDL standards that is lol. I think Dreamlights has been the longest running parade at TDL, sure it’s been upgraded through the years but still.

I think each of the three big rides are great. All are very atmospheric and take you into their worlds, each very different worlds. Plus I just love Disney boat ride attractions. I think the area and its attractions are a Grand Slam any way you measure it.

Other than needing special passes to see the rides, that is. :(

Which is correct:

(A) all “non vacation packaging guests” need to win a lottery to enter Fantasy Springs and once inside the land may join any queue as stand by???

(B) all Disney Sea guests can enter Fantasy Springs and join any standby line???

Frozen Journey feels like the extended, directors cut version Frozen Ever After. There's a lot of extra content in there that pads the run time, but doesn't feel like it's completely necessary. Like BatB, there is a lot that looks REALLY good, but for a ride, it just falls a little short for me.

Peter Pan on the other hand seems like a super fun and charming attraction with a lot of heart and character. Not only that, musically, Peter Pan works REALLY well... it's a great use of the songs with musical themes strung throughout the ride. By far Peter Pan is the attraction I'm most intrigued with.

I'm kind of surprised all these rides have leaked already, seems relatively early, but I guess we are only about a month away.

Given that the Frozen attraction seems polarizing, it seems like a good thing in retropsect that they didn't just do a Frozen-focused land, as was the original plan when this was all originally announced (though it would have been nice to have had a larger spin on the OG Glacier Bay concept).

A Frozen land with just the boat ride we got as the only ride would have been disappointing, though I think it would have looked nicer as a land with a more fleshed out village and mountain backdrop.

The original plans mentioned only part of the land would be themed to Frozen (in the same way that Arabian Coast isn't all Aladdin). It would have been interesting to see what non-IP additions they came up with.

For people wondering about public preview of Fantasy Springs, according to there latest Q&A
in Japanese.

During the time period of private Previews no Regular guests will be allowed to enter the new area. It will be restricted to people who has the preview pass and everybody(except Funderful Disney members) are all going to Queue in the standby pass, Priority access lane will be off limits.

Only 5,000 invited guests are only allowed for 5 hours each day.

For reference Funderful Disney preview last day will be on June 02.

Meaning that will be the last private preview.
June 03-05 will be very interesting.

Especially June 05, where a special private party is set

I said to relocate IaSW, not outright get rid of it.

If they ever moved it (which I don't think they would), EPCOT would be the better destination. But, if it was ever moved, it's almost guaranteed that it would be updated in the move to include IPs which I'm not a huge proponent of...

This expansion is roughly 26 acres and has 4 attractions. "A bug's land" opened in 2002 at roughly 4 acres and opened 5 new attractions.
Are you really going to compare the attractions at Bud's land which with the exception of heimlich's choo choo train were completely small-scale flat rides to these four attractions? Come on not in the same league.

No one was wowed with the five attractions that bugsland had when it opened. In fact it was heavily criticized for being nothing but glorified carnival rides and slow.... super slow bumper cars.

I guess we could bust out a toy story Land somewhere. Perhaps Paris or Hong Kong had four attractions in it but again all carnival rides super cheapos.
