The first 35th Event soft opened overnight!(US Time): Fashionable Easter 2018 at TDS:

Now with SellaLou, The most pyro in the show's history and a MUCH BETTER finale than last year with the 35th song: Brand New Day in the finale and exit song! Thanks to Fashionable Easter, Brand New Day has really grown on me!

Well to be fair, last year's version had nothing on the original Fashionable Easter and this year's is my favorite version of the show yet.

Yes, last year's version was pretty bad compared to the original but the original is still my favourite ( maybe due to it being the first show I saw at TDS). I liked how they changed some of the characters' costumes, which I wish they would've combined that they the costume switch of the original, although something does feel off to me.

And to the person mentioning Brand New Day, it has grown on me too.

Well it looks Like Universal Studio Japans Entertainment offerings just got delayed, Waterworld and Universal Spectacle night parade were set to debut this Spring 2018, To go head to head with the 35th anniversary, That ain’t the case anymore. Waterworld will be delayed til June, and The night parade has been delayed indefinitely, Due to its advance technology from floats and Projectors not matching seamlessly and until this gets fixed USJ will only have Waterworld as their Main offering and Forbidden Journey will advertised as a renewed attraction for the 3rd or 4th time.

So they retired Magical Starlight? To bad the US parks didn’t purchase it.

It was retired. The US parks don't have the rights to Snoopy or Elmo, so those floats would have to be cut or replaced, and then the bulk of the parade is public domain versions of Disney fairy tales. USH can't run a parade, and USF wouldn't be interested in something that openly apes Disney down the road while ignoring the current IP folio.

Too bad USF couldn't rework Magical Starlight(If it was offered to them of course) It would give MK the kick in the.... it needs now.
Of course I haven't heard what's replacing Cinematic Spectacular so UOR might have a quiet summer while HEA has it's second summer.

Even USF's first daytime parade "Super Star Parade" is pretty underwhelming.

They lack the "energy" that the Disney parades give imho.

In Disney, even the guards are smiling and waving and even singing along. In USF's case, only the dancers smiled and danced. and felt disjoint with what the music was blaring.

Meanwhile USF's parade entire parade music is just a short medley or theme or a film or show (Such as a 30 seconds of the Spongebob theme song) then back to the parade music which starts sounding like a broken record.
