Hey there, happy Thursday. With only a day (and some change) left until we kick off The Imagineer, we figured that we oughta get some excitement going on the thread for the competition. This thread is for anything Imagineer-realated that you guys want to talk about. Do you game veterans have any insight to share with the greenhorns? Go ahead and post. Does anyone have a favorite memory of Season one? Type it up. We like to view this forum as a creative haven for people from all over, where you can say anything you want and expect to be welcomed by a warm smile and sparkling conversation (alright, I'm getting a little Lifetime movie-ish.)

I think I pretty much summed it up. Don't hesitate to post, I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

By the way, do not get caught up in this internet magic and forget about the actual contest. January 30th is closer than you think!

Advice for new members to the game, try your best and have fun.

Okay, 3 tips:

1) Read other's Projects from Season 1. See what they did right. See what they did wrong. We don't want lists, we don't care for ideas without structure, we don't really care for people who don't follow rules. We LOVE story. We LOVE detail. We LOVE ingenuity and innovativeness. Step out of the box but stay in the Disney realm. etc.

2) Read other's Projects from these fourms. Look at the threads with the most posts and look at those with "not so many" posts. What's different between them? Look at Man Eating Wreath's new Resort; it has a great story feel. Look at King Mickey's threads; they have fantastic detail and attraction descriptions. Everyone has assets; find out what you need help in and get better; we love being wrong about someone and finding out that our first impressions were indeed wrong!

3) Remember: HAVE FUN! Don't take this TOO seriously: let the experience take you to a place where you CAN really be the Next Imagineer! Don't be mean to your competitors; work your mind and have fun!

Let me tell you: Judging this game is one of the best things I've ever done. It's so great meeting all these new people and joining as a community.

Sign-Ups are tomorrow: Take the plunge and do it!

I had a GREAT time working in these projects!

Tips-

1)BE CREATIVE! Don't take an idea that had maybe been mentioned in a thread on here before briefly, and add to it,create your own!

2) Don't wait until the last minute! As soon as you see the criteria-brainstorm! If you have an idea write it down!

3)Provide visuals! Even if they are not perfect (heck, look at mine in the other projects, not the best, but gives an idea) Even if you just have the paint program, you can do SOMETHING!

4)Learn! Take what judges say in previous projects to improve upon the next!

5) Have fun! Take it seriously, but if you don't win, just come back next time!

My favorite memory of this season was working with other people, especially in the WS project with Jasonflz. Working with somebody else makes for a very string project, and I hope we get to work with others this season!

There wad also friendly competition, which is fun!
