Trip Report Tired, hot & grumpy- A tale of 2 princesses- COMPLETED!!

Hi everyone. We just returned late Saturday night from an 8 day stay at WDW. Our travel dates were 9/23-10/1. This trip included myself, husband Nick, our two girls- Sage (age 5 1/2) and Aria (just turned 1), and my parents. This was Sage's 2nd trip, her first was right before her 4th birthday. Link to that trip report if you're interested :)
http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/sages-first-magical-trip.894130/

On our last trip, we stayed at Pop Century and fell in love with the resort. The cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the big Disney statues, the Hippie Dippie Pool, the kiddie pool, it just felt like home to us. We originally booked this stay at Pop but when free dining was released, we had to switch over to All Star Sports. I was nervous about the switch, we all loved Pop so much, but we knew it wasn't really all that different. Our family of 4 requested a connecting room with my parents. We also requested first floor, thinking that would be easier getting in and out with the double stroller.

Travel Day
We flew out of Providence at 7:20am.

IMG_2107.JPG

We were bummed there were no morning direct flights via Southwest so our flight did have one stop. There was no plane change so we had to stay on the plane for about 30 minutes while people got off and on. It made the whole flying process a little longer but overall it wasn't bad. This was Sage's 2nd flight, Aria's first. Both girls did great! Sage played, colored and worked a little on her homework. Aria played with her toys & books and was passed back and forth between my mom and I, and eventually, fell asleep. So that was nice!.

IMG_2112.JPG

Even though there was a bit of a line for the Magical Express, the bus came quickly and we were loaded on. We made great time getting to Sports. We landed at MCO around 11:25 and were checking in at Sports at 12:45. No bad at all!
We were able to get both of our requests, connecting rooms on the first floor, and were assigned to tennis building 5. About 10 days prior to our trip, I ordered some things online from Walmart and Target and shipped them to All Star Sports- baby food, diapers, formula, wipes, breakfast items, etc. A few days before leaving, I got confirmation emails from both places that my items had been delivered. I asked about our packages when we checked in. I was told that within the past several months, Disney hotels have been so overwhelmed with the amount of package deliveries, that they no longer have the space to store them within each hotel. Instead, they have rented a facility off site and all packages are sent there. When you check in, it is then that your packages are attempted to be found. I was told this process could take up to 4 days! I explained that since my packages were confirmed delivered, I only packed enough baby items for that day. And we absolutely needed our items ASAP. They said they would do their best to have my packages to me by midnight.
For the next few hours, we checked out our room and the grounds, ate lunch at the food court, unpacked, and then went for a swim in the pool. Sage loved the kiddie pool at Pop so we started at the Sports kiddie pool.

IMG_2117.JPG

A few things- we noticed a strong sewer smell in the pool area. It was really terrible and made us not want to even spend time there. The water was warm. Like, too warm. It was 90 degrees and super humid every day of our trip. I don't know how hot they keep the pools but it was not refreshing at all. I actually had to get out after a while because it was making me more hot. We spent a little time in the kiddie pool and then went over to the main pool to see if the water was any better. It was a bit better, but not much.

I'm not trying to sound like a scrooge, but after being so bummed to not be at Pop, all these little problems with Sports were not making us happy.
At about 7 that night we were getting the girls ready for bed and we still not have any of our packages. I was stressing out because I was hoping to have the diaper bag all packed for the next day before going to bed. But I didn't have the diapers and food we needed. I put the girls to bed (having my parents next door was so nice, I could go over in their room instead of sitting in the dark/quiet) and Nick went back down to the front desk to check on our packages. Between 7 and midnight, they were able to locate about 75% of our stuff. The only downside was that every time they found a box, they would call our room (waking the girls) or knock on our door (waking the girls). Needless to say, we all slept pretty terrible that first night.

We had a busy day planned for Saturday, a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment for Sage and some Fantasyland fun! More coming soon :)

We then went over to Turtle Talk with Crush. As we're waiting, Aria is screaming. She was so happy out in the pavilion because we were letting her scootch around so as soon as we picked her up to go into the show, she started freaking out. We know its going to be bad news so Nick leaves with her. He tried getting her to fall asleep in the stroller but she wasn't having it. So they just played outside.
The rest of us enjoyed the show!

IMG_2192.JPG

Its just about time for our Spaceship Earth FP so out we go!
Nick and Sage ride together, my parents ride together, and I ride with the monkey. She's climbing all over me the entire time and then suddenly, as soon as we start going backwards, she falls asleep. Ahhhh. I find this ride interesting and I always enjoy it however, we were bummed they no longer show your picture on the screen at the end as it goes through your future.

So we transfer Aria into the stroller and head over to the World Showcase. We decide we want to eat first so I give everyone the option of La Cantina or snacking at some nearby kiosks. Everyone wants to sit so we decide on La Cantina. Nick gets the beef tacos, I get the nachos and Sage gets the kids empanadas. Holy cow, so much food!!! We share everything and Nick and I both really like our meals. Sage's is ok but tastes like its filled with american cheese. It tasted more like a grilled cheese than anything else. Fine with us as Sage is a picky eater anyway but I wonder if the adult empanadas are made the same way. We also loved the churros that came with the meals but they would have tasted better warm. We felt bad after we were done that we had to throw so much away. It was just too much food for us! Aria woke up right as we were finishing so I quickly fed her too.
Then it was time for Frozen!!!

Your girls are both super adorable, Sage could be your twin! Following along :D

Aw thank you!! So funny, Sage has always looked like her dad but just recently people started comparing her to me. She has her dad's brown eyes, Aria has my blue eyes. The two girls look very different. We are always comparing baby pictures of the two (like this one, both on their first birthday).
Thanks for reading!

Ok, so on to Frozen! The new pavilion area looks nice but honestly, we couldn't check it out much. It was just too hot. So we walked through it as quick as we could. Our first stop was the ride, using FP. First the good stuff- the queue is really pretty! Very nicely done.

"Maelstrom Sighting" nice touch guys :)

So yeah, the good stuff pretty much stops with the queue. The ride itself was completely underwhelming. There were so many blank, dead spaces that it seemed unfinished. Very un-Disney. Or maybe this is just the new Disney as Nick pointed out throughout the week.

And Nick and I personally did not like the new style of animatronics with the screen faces. I know we are in the minority but we found the screen faces much more unrealistic than typical Disney animatronics. The other disappointing part was the during Elsa's Let It Go sequence, her arms were glued to her side. Even as she was singing and the boat was moving backwards, she was completely still, arms down. I asked Nick after is he found it distracting and if he thought her arms should be moving. He said he didn't think it was that big of deal. I watched a video on youtube though and it looks like her arms are actually supposed to move. So I guess we just got a terrible version of the ride.
So during the ride the highlight for me was actually watching Aria's reaction. She would point to Olaf and squeal whenever she saw him. After the ride, we were looking through the gift shop and I thought I might get her an Olaf stuffed animal. Her birthday was the week before we left and a few people had given her some money specifically to buy something in Disney. When I showed her the Olaf stuffed animal though she didn't really seem interested. Then I found these super cute Anna & Elsa baby dolls and she instantly grabbed Elsa and hugged it. She has a Raggedy Ann doll that she loves that has red yarn hair. These baby dolls had yarn hair too so I think that's why she liked them (we later saw the entire princess collection in World of Disney, they are so cute!) So Aria officially had her first souvenir!

I had heard about the Disney magic used to cut down on the wait times but I honestly didn't think it would be so obvious. We get to the end of the queue and we're in a room with like, 4 closed doors all around us. Seriously, again with the lack of Disney attention to detail.

The girls enjoyed meeting Anna & Elsa!

We then went back over to the Mexico pavilion. We first poked around through the little shopping area and then boarded a boat to visit the 3 amigos. Nick mentioned he'd like to eat at San Angel Inn some day so we added it to our 'next time' list (on the top of my list is Garden Grill!)

When we exited the ride, we noticed Donald was meeting guests inside so we wondered if it was raining out. It wasn't, but man there was some crazy lightening off in the distance. I had only planned on Mexico & Norway for our 1st Epcot day so we could also check out Disney Springs. We decided to go right there from Epcot. They really don't make it easy to get to Disney Springs! I know they are testing buses after 4pm but its really something they should offer all day. We actually ended up going to Disney Springs our 2nd Epcot day too because of Sage's BBB appointment so we tested 2 different routes. Both took a ridiculous amount of time.
For this day, we decided to walk to the International Gateway, then walk to the Beach Club, then take a bus to DS.
So as you might know, Mexico is basically on the exact opposite end of the International Gateway. Just walking over there was very time consuming. On a nice, 70 degree day, I'm sure it would have been quite pleasant. In the 90 degree heat and humidity, pushing a double stroller filled with 2 kids and many bags, not so much. So we make it over to that gift shop and oh boy, we can tell something wicked is coming. Its super dark and the lightening is just crazy. Looking back on it now, we probably would have had time to at least make it to the Beach Club but we decide to stop at the gift shop and wait out the storm. And what a storm it is!
IMG_2203.JPG

Torrential downpours, the wind was whipping around. Thunder & lightening. We started out on a bench under the roof but had to move way in the back near the the restrooms. We ended up sitting there for over an hour. There were about 10 other people crowded in that little spot. Even the security guards at the entrance to the International Gateway eventually ended up taking cover. It was quite the storm.
Finally things quieted down and we started walking towards the Beach Club. There were branches and leaves everywhere and also quite a bit of flooding through the Beach Club grounds. We make our way inside and ask about the location of the bus stop. We're told the regular bus stop is under construction so we'll have to walk to the temporary one allllllll the way across the parking lot. Of course. We finally get there, and then we bus it over to Disney Springs. The entire journey is just exhausting. Getting to and from places is often more time consuming than our actual visit to the location :(
Our family didn't visit DS on our last trip because it was very much under construction. As we are walking through the new section, I have to admit, we are not impressed. It looks like our local high end mall. Are people really shopping for regular clothes, shoes, jewelry etc while they are in Disney? Very strange. No one in my family is interested so we walk right through til we get to World of Disney.
We all shop in here for quite awhile, stocking up on various souvenirs- toys for the kids, a new antenna topper for me, and a magnet. I always get a magnet on every Disney trip. Nick and I went to Disney twice together prior to having the girls, my mom and I went once, and I also went once with my parents to Disneyland (and we took one family trip when I was kid). I usually get a magnet with the park logos and/or the year. On our last trip with Sage, I was having trouble finding a magnet I liked until our very last day. Sage's favorite ride last time was Small World so I was super excited when I found a Small World magnet. I wasn't really sure what I wanted this time around until I saw it- a Mickey waffle magnet! Perfect! Sage's new obsession :) We all ate so many Mickey's waffles this trip, even Aria was eating them by the end!

So after World of Disney, we were all getting hungry so we talked about our dinner options. I had asked around for quick service dining recommendations in DS and the top 3 were the burger place, the new pizza place and Cookes of Dublin. After describing all 3 to my parents, they chose Cookes of Dublin. This was my top choice in my mind so I was happy :)
I ended up getting the Hog in a Box (as did my mom), Nick got the battered sausages, and my dad got the beef and lamb pie. Sage was being a stinker and refusing to eat so she got nothing. Bummer for her because they had mac & cheese on the kids menu, her personal fave, so I thought for sure she's get that. Just another reason why we had so many credits left at the end of the week. You never know with kids!
All of the food was so, so good! I would definitely go back here again. Good size portions (too much for me, I ended up bringing half my box back to the hotel) and everything was super delicious. Highly recommended!
While we were eating my mom was wondering if any of the good stores from the old Downtown Disney still existed, mainly the Christmas store and kitchen store, so we looked through the map and thankfully, they were still there! After dinner we started walking that way but as we got back towards World of Disney, we noticed it was already 6 o'clock. We really wanted to be back by 7 to get the girls to bed on time. Unfortunately the rain storm and crazy commute had eaten up most of our time. So we decided to just head back. We knew we'd be back later in the week for Sage's BBB appointment so we were hoping we could finish shopping then.

Disney Day 4
This was our 2nd Magic Kingdom day! The plan for this day was to do just Storybook Circus & Tomorrow land, head back to the hotel to rest/nap, and then go back to MK to see Wishes. Wishes was only happening 3 nights during our trip because of the Halloween Party, 2 nights it was at 9 and this night it was at 8- much better for us!!
So after another rough night with Aria, off we go to MK! We get there just in time to catch most of the opening show. I was happy to catch some of it as we completely missed it on our first day.

Our first stop is going to be Dumbo but as we are parking the stroller and getting the kids out, suddenly Chip & Dale are right next to us! I don't even know where they came from! The CM asks if we would like to join them in a parade over to their meet & greet spot. So we end up walking across that section of the park to their cute little set up. It was so fun! Sage and Aria were laughing the whole time. Sage kept asking where we were going so I was trying to make jokes like saying they were leading us to the secret place they hide their nuts. Chip and Dale were fake laughing and trying to tickle the girls. Super cute experience. So glad we stumbled upon it :)

One thing Nick and I had been talking about was how we didn't have a good family picture yet. Usually he would be taking the pictures as I was holding Aria. So we knew he would have to jump in a few at some point. So first we got a few just me and the girls
IMG_2842.JPG

And then I tell Nick that he should get in one too. So of course, unknown to us, Sage makes this lovely face in the family picture
IMG_2845.JPG

Oh Sage.
So from there, we head back over to Dumbo.
IMG_2848.JPG

Sage remembers the play area from last time and she's so excited to play there again. Unfortunately, the play area isn't even open yet. That's disappointing so of course we have to promise Sage we can come back another time.Everyone enjoys their flight!

IMG_2852.JPG

From there we head over to the Barnstormer. How many times can Sage ride the Barnstormer in a row? Today, the answer is four.

After getting our Barnstormer fill, I mention the meet and greets in Pete's Silly Sideshow, but Sage really wants to go over to Merida. Merida is one of my all time favorite Disney movies/characters and last time, Sage's meet and greet with Merida was one of my favorite memories of our whole trip (hence my profile picture).
So as we are waiting in line, things quickly start to go downhill for me. It is already so hot, and the Merida line is so long (we waited at least 25 minutes). I'm holding Aria, she's being a monkey and climbing all over me. She really just wants to get down but its not a good place for her to be sitting. The line is directly in the sun, I'm legit sweating through my shirt trying to wrestle her, she's screeching on the top of her lungs. And juuuust as we get to the front, I realize one of Aria's earrings is missing. And of course, it's a brand new earring she got for her birthday. We quickly look around but I know there's no way we're finding that teeny tiny thing. I checked after all through her stroller, all through the crib and hotel room but it was gone :( Just one of many things Aria lost that week. The others include one of her hair bows, my camera case, and she broke my sunglasses so I had to buy new ones while we were there. Oh Aria.

Anyways, finally, MERIDA!!!
Sage is wearing a Merida skirt and Merida is SO excited about it :)

This Merida isn't quite as good as the one we met last time, but Sage still loves it. She has the best character set up too!
IMG_2870.JPG
IMG_2871.JPG

So we sit down in the shade so I can get Aria's breakfast. My mom agrees to feed her while I head back to that Big Top gift shop to buy Aria new earrings so her holes wouldn't close. When I walk over there I see the splash area, something Sage had asked to do earlier but I didn't want her soaked for her Merida pictures, and I figure, what the heck, and I text Nick and tell him to come on over with Sage. I tell her she can get splashed a little which to Sage, means completely head to toe drenched.

Our next stop was the Speedway, our first FP. I'm not super crazy about this ride but I know its one everyone can do. And for some reason it always has a long wait, so good use of a FP :) Sage and I drive together, my parents drive together, and Nick decides to give Aria an AC break inside Cosmic Rays.
IMG_2879.JPG
IMG_2880.JPG

We then all head over to the TTA where thankfully, Aria falls asleep
IMG_2883.JPG
IMG_2884.JPG

I transfer Aria to the stroller and then its time for our 2nd FP, Buzz. We tell my parents to go first, and we'll stay out with Aria, and then they can sit with Aria while Nick, Sage and I ride. So we find some shade and sip our drinks. We then get a text from my parents that the ride has stopped right before they were getting on. They decide to wait it out. I want to say they waited about 15 minutes before the ride started up again. During that time, we watched the stand by line wait time go up to about 60 minutes and the FP was also pretty lengthy. We mention to Sage we may have to wait til later to take our turn. She says, actually I'm kind of hungry, can we eat lunch? We instantly rush into Cosmic Rays because this kid's eaten like 3 meals our whole trip. Nick and I decide to wait to eat because our next FP is for Space Mountain. Our parents meet up with us and get their lunches.

Nick and I then head out to Space Mountain while the rest of the fam eats and enjoys the AC in Cosmic Rays (Sage is also quite entertained by Sonny Eclipse)
IMG_2887.JPG

We love this ride!! We had talked about maybe using my parents bands to ride Space again but we felt bad pawning the kids off on them for that long. It was almost time to get going anyway.
We told Sage we had time for one more thing before leaving, we could go back to Buzz to use our FP (we assumed they would honor it since it was down during our window) or we could all go over to Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. She chooses Monster Inc which we were all pretty happy about. Nick and I are not big Buzz fans since Toy Story Mania was introduced.
On to the Laugh Floor!
IMG_2889.JPG
IMG_2890.JPG

We all love this show! Except for Aria I guess. She couldn't sit still and was getting angry when I wouldn't let her get down so I ended up walking to the back with her. Thankfully the last few rows were empty so I stood her up on the back bench and she was holding on, cruising up and down the bench. She was happy and I actually got to listen to the show.

As we were heading out, we caught the tail end of the Elena show on the front of the castle. I had originally thought we might be able to see all the little shows & parades at some point but it soon became obvious we wouldn't be able to fit them all in. We were moving at a much slower pace due to the heat and Aria's inability to sit still. Sage was SUPER psyched to see Elena though so I was really happy we happened upon it.

So we head back to All Star Sports and put Aria down for a nap. The rest of us relax and hang out. Nick and I get lunch from the food court, Sage watches TV. Another big rain storm goes through. It does clear up for a bit so Nick and Sage decide to go check out the baseball pool.
When it's time to head back for the fireworks, my parents decide not to go. I honestly can't remember why. Probably just tired!

We get to MK at about 6:30. The fireworks start at 8 but, according to the app, Celebrate the Magic is at 7:45. I honestly don't even know what this is. I don't really remember anyone talking about it or seeing much about it online. I think its some sort of light projection show on the castle though so I figure its some sort of intro to the fireworks. So we walk from the bus, go through security and all that, and its about 6:45. I tell Nick it has always been a dream of mine to watch the fireworks from the top of the train station but everything I read says the spots fill up quickly and you have to get there super early. I run up to check and no one is up there! Nick comes up with the girls and we camp out, front and center! I'm so excited!!
Over the next hour, we take turns holding our spots. Nick and Sage go down to Main St first to get some snacks. Nick and I had lunch late so we're not really hungry for dinner. He decides to go into Starbucks to get 3 snacks for a meal credit. He asks me what I want and I say anything frozen. He comes back with this gigantic frozen pumpkin spice thing. I don't even know what it is but its delicious!! And apparently, any size is a snack credit so the CM was like, get the big one! Then Sage and I go down to use the bathroom and walk around Main St a bit. The next hour went by very quickly. Aria surprisingly stayed in her stroller the whole time just playing.
Get ready for lots of pictures!

So on to Wishes!

I took so many pictures during the fireworks! And mostly with one hand, I think the noise spooked Aria a bit and she ended up fussing so I held her for the show.

So on the bus on the way back, Sage says mom, is it true that if you make a wish on a star it will come true? I tell her that some people believe that's true but that some think you still have to work hard for your dream (like Tiana). So she's gazing out the bus window and I hear her singing the song. When she's done I say, what did you wish for? She leans in and whispers... that you'll buy me another toy while we're here. I laugh and tell her that probably won't come true. So she does the whole thing again and I say now what did you wish for? And she says, that when we get home we can get a kitten.
Keep dreaming kid :)

Anyways, this was an incredible night. Probably my favorite of the whole trip. We had the perfect spot, we all loved the fireworks. We hadn't seen them in a long time (Sage would have been spooked by them on our last trip, she was even nervous this time but ended up loving them). Definitely a night to remember.

I watched the Boo to You parade from the Main St train station last year and it really is a great location. We wanted to watch the Halloween fireworks from this location during our trip last week but totally lost track of time and got stuck in Tomorrowland :(

I love your Wishes photos! I've always wanted to watch them from the train station, it's a must do for my next trip!

Thank you! Its my new favorite spot :) I was so excited when no one was up there. We waited a little more than an hour but it really wasn't bad at all. I'm sure it depends on the time of year but even like, 30 minutes prior there were still spaces up there. Easy out afterwards too!

Disney Day 5
Over night was rough again for Aria. Both top teeth were just poking through. She woke up crying many times and finally at about 5:30, I took her outside. It was always tricky being out that early, all the benches and chairs were always wet so we couldn't always find a place to sit. Sometimes we would go in the food court and I would pull up Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff on youtube for her. Other times we would just walk around. Allllll around All Star Sports. On this day, I noticed the arcade was open. It was a little too bright for 5:30am and super loud but no one was in the there. So I could put Aria down and she could scootch all around. She was happy!

Since we were out late the night before, I purposely planned a late start to this day. It was our only planned Hollywood Studios Day. Many years back, DHS/MGM was actually my favorite park. The old Hollywood theme is just something I love and find so interesting. Tower of Terror is my favorite experience (not just ride, even the queue fascinates me), I used to love the Stars & Motor Cars Parade. DHS is definitely at a weird in between stage right now. I hope they figure out the theming and really bring the park back to its former glory.
I knew we wouldn't need a full day here. The girls are not into Star Wars, they can't sit through the shows, and obviously can't do the big rides like ToT, RnRC, Star Tours etc. So this was a good day for us to get a late start.
Since we already had so many extra meal credits, we decided to get breakfast at the food court before leaving. Our first FP was for Toy Story, 9:55-10:55. We didn't end up getting to DHS til a little before 10:30 so we had to head right there. I LOVED walking in and seeing the view of Chinese Theater for the first time!

I think Sage is holding Tinkerbell again. A photopass person did a magic shot earlier in the week of her holding tinkerbell so I think she thought every time she put her hands like that, Tink would appear :)
Off we went to Toy Story!
IMG_2928.JPG
IMG_2929.JPG

My parents rode together, Nick & Sage rode together, and I rode alone, with Aria on my lap. I did pretty good considering the distraction! I love this ride so much!
When we all get off I ask Sage how she did and she's just standing there all grumpy. Nick says it was terrible and that he can already tell this is going to be a rough day (spoiler alert, he's right, the day does turn out to be our worst)
Apparently Sage was having trouble using her shooter but would get mad at Nick if he tried to help because she wanted to do it herself. But then she would get all angry when she didn't do it well. So not the most pleasant ride for Nick!

From there, Sage wants to go over to the Disney Jr show. When we arrive, we see that the next show isn't starting for about 20 minutes. I ask Sage if she would like to go meet one of the characters in that area while we are waiting. She crosses her arms, starts crying, and says she wants to see the show. Frustrated, we all get in line for the show. Nick is completely done with her grumpiness and says he's taking her back to the hotel after the show if she doesn't get her act together. She's had grumpy episodes like this all week and we are all at our breaking point. We don't understand why she can't just be happy and have fun when she's IN DISNEY! Even Aria is having more fun and she's barely slept all week. So we sweat out in line for about 15 minutes and then enter the theater. I find a bench in the back for my parents and then Nick, Sage, me and Aria go sit on the floor. Aria thinks, ooooh floor! I can scootch around! When I try to keep her contained in my lap, she starts freaking out. Screeching on the top her lungs, screaming crying. I finally get up and go in the back with my parents. Sitting on the bench isn't making her happy either so I walk towards the opposite end of the theater, near the one exit door, thinking I may just have to leave. There is a big open area near the door so I put her down. She happily scootches around for 10 seconds and a CM tells me we have to be in the taped off area of the floor. So I pick her up (screaming, screaming, screaming) and stand in the back of the taped off section. The CM then tells me we have to be SITTING in the taped off section, or we can go stand in the back against the wall. So I go stand against the wall and the show starts. Aria stops crying and perks up for a second. During the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse roll call section she's all happy and smiling. This is the one picture I got:

But two seconds later, she's like, oh yeah, I want to get down. And starts screaming and squirming all around in my arms. We have no choice but to leave :(
We exit the theater and are in this nice looking hallway with bathrooms. We head in there for a quick diaper change and I think, wow, these bathrooms are really nice! I know that sounds weird but you know how Disney is, how bathrooms, trash cans, light posts, benches etc are always perfectly themed to their exact location. When we exit the bathroom I poke around through the hallway and find that its actually connected to the Hollywood Brown Derby! That explains :)
So in that back hallway, there's a stairwell with a little landing so I plop Aria down and the kid is happy as a clam just scootching around playing on the stairs. Welcome to Disney Aria, enjoy your stairs.

So eventually the rest of the family exits from the show and I tell Sage we are going to meet Pluto because Aria will like that, and then we are going to ride the Great Movie Ride. I told her we could only meet Sofia, Jake and Doc (something she was really looking forward to) if she quit it with the grump & sass. I actually hadn't even planned on riding the GMR because Sage was scared by the live action part last time, but I knew my parents would like it. Nick and I were starting to feel bad that the week wasn't going exactly as planned and that we were cutting a lot of things from our itinerary that they would probably enjoy.
But anyways, first- Pluto!
