I know there have been several threads on this, and I have posted in a few of them, but I need my memory refreshed on something. When you pull up to the resort and someone takes your bags, is that the same guy that takes them up to your room for you? I guess what I'm asking is if I'm supposed to tip him right there at the car, or, if he is the same guy, tip him at the room? I had been thinking I'd tip him at the car before going inside, but the thought occured to me that he might be the same one who takes the stuff up to my room, in which case, I might look like a schmuck handing him money there at the car.
Of course, now that I think of it, that might be where I have to tip him anyway, because I plan to arrive a few hours before check in time and do that thing where I get my resort ID and then go on my merry way and come back when the room is ready. And I doubt he'll be there waiting for his tip when I come back.
And it's a buck or two per bag, right? Is a little carry on bag the same "tip value" as a big suitcase?
