Cheeky Chops "....:joyfull:...My imagination is now going into overdrive..We have a butcher shop in town where one the owners is a very attractive 40 year old + red headed woman..She never married ( So I was told by a local ) Anyway,I remember hearing stories about how this Irish butcher family make their own special recipe sausages that were out of this world..So one Saturday I popped into the butchers, and it was the red headed woman who served me.( This woman wears bright red,(and I mean bright) lipstick)..Very retro style.Sorry, back to my story..So I asked for 2lb of their award winning sausages.."Have you tried them before,"she asked me..Nope, I told her...So she says to me,with a wicked smile." I love my sausage on a Saturday night." Thats it..I was out the shop trying not to laugh..I haven't been back since.( The sausages were great by the way ) But now I'm tempted to go back and ask if she has any Cheeky Chops......

We usually tip $4-5 a day and we have 3 people in the room. I did hear somewhere though (it might have actually been here) that Mousekeeping is paid a decent salary and tipping doesn't need to be done. I don't know if that's true or not so we still tip.

On our cruise, we gave our stateroom host $20 extra. He was WONDERFUL. They really take the time to talk to you and get to know you on the cruise. Our server and assistant server also got an additional $20. I think (but I'm not 100% sure) that each server and assistant server only have 1 table throughout the cuise for dinner. Our table was a table of 6. Servers get $16 over the course of a 4 night cruise. So that's $96 over 4 nights for a table of 6. If Disney doesn't give them an hourly rate then that's an awfully low salary!!

At POFQ...we didn't have the blue card this year. I do recall it from previous trips.

As far as the question...I also do 2 per day, and I do it daily. I don't discriminate by resort (deluxe/moderate/value). Not that it helped the quality of the Mousekeeping all that much (not something I'll get into)...

On the cruise ship, I tipped FAR more than that (over $125 for 7 nights)...but, ask anyone who's done the cruise, your Room Stewards will really spoil you.

WDW could learn something from that. There's no reason why this can't be replicated at the parks. None.
I was going to refrence the Costa Concordia as to why i won't cruise But seeing as how lots of stuff in Florida keeps sinking recently i don't think that is a valid argument anymore o_O

They actually get up to 6 tables. Our server ran his behind off! I actually thing they give them too many, it was hard to get a hold of him when we wanted something.

Whoa! Didn't mean to start a clan war!
I appreciate all the input. I also make up envelopes and leave them. I must have missed the blue envelopes but may have overlooked them since I bring my own. DH and I have had this discussion many times and it is great to see what other people do as well. This helps alot!
Not a clan war. We all agree that Mousekeepers shouldn't be tipped as that is unkind.

As I said in another thread, "How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?"
