Tip: Give Away your Fastpasses!!!

During our last trip, we were given 4 sets of fastpasses! One set for Test Track (given by a CM who found them on the top of a FP machine for Soarin), one set for ToT (a family had 2 extra) and TWO sets for Toy Story! (in both cases, the families were leaving for the day).

It made our day each time and our trip! Considering that Toy Story is our new favorite and seems to be no less than a 60 minute wait in the stand by line, we were appreciative! We still talk about it!

So if you have extra FPs or if you're leaving the park for the day and you have fastpasses you're not going to use, give them to a family who will use them and enjoy them. It'll make their day!! :)

It is a great tip. The look of shock and surprise on peoples faces makes you feel great and gives you the knoweldge that you made someones vacation that much better.

I totaly agree and have done this myself on many occasions , It mainly happens when we decided to leave a park earlier and still have a few fp's that we did not use ! :king:

Really good tip !!

We've done this many times too. Usually, we'll all fastpass a ride and then some of us might change our mind (cough *chicken out* cough) about going on that ride when the time comes. :ROFLOL:Did that with ToT last time we were there. My wife usually just walks up to a random family with the same amount of people in it as we have extra passes and offers them to them. They are always quite thankful.

I had a couple extra Dream Passes (we had a party of 5, two people didn't use them and we were tired). I think they had everything but Peter Pan or something like that on them. My girfriend and I went around the park looking for a couple to give it too. We didn't want to give them to a family because it's weird giving two FP to a family of 5. So we just found a couple at a FP machine (after walking around for like 10 minutes) and gave it to them. They seemed so surprised . Made me feel good.

Of course I remember this other time. I was waiting on line outside for Space Mountain. The line was really long and it was HOT that day (late July, like 95° plus really humid). This lady comes to me and say hi, do you want two fast passes for Space Mountain? Before I even had a chance to say anything a girl comes from the side, says "I do!" grabs them and runs to the FP entrance. That really stunk, I was in disbelief.

We were given Dream Fastpasses entering AK our last trip by other guests that were leaving and I must say it was even better than when we won them at MK. It was so random and nice I was blown away.

I have always done this with any extra fastpasses we get. My Dh does not ride the thrill rides so I always have one extra and find someone in line to give it to. Also, if we don't use them for one reason or another I give them away. It does feel good to help others at the park. It's like giving a little magic away. ;)

We always do that. My younger sister can't go on big rides such as Tot and my mom can't go on some big ones either because of a back problem. However, we still get a fastpass for everybody in my family. then, if we see two people in line we give them to them.

When Soarin First opened at WDW we were in a line of 120minutes(and that is not the most intertaining line queue)some family had extras and gave them to my dad. so we were able to go straight from a 120 minute wait to a 10 minute wait.! I love doing this for others and for other people to give us there fast passes:) It makes you feel all friendly and Disney inside.lol

I was excited to do this on my last trip - we had fastpasses we weren't using. It was hard to give them away. People just stared at me, or said they had too many people in their party, or not enough people. I asked a handful of people before someone took them. It was weird :(

Haha. I love when people give me their fastpasses. I've probably been on the receiving end of about 20+ fast passes, but unfortunately I've only returned the favor a couple of times -- to be honest, my fiancee and I are very good at planning our fast pass uses, and we usually don't have any that we don't use

Same for us, except a few times we ended up leaving the parks early and had evening FPs.
Next time, we're going to try to do this for someone else!

Thanks for posting this tip.

My family was the recipient of fastpasses for Kilimanjaro safaris. It was our last half-day at WDW and we realized that we hadn't gone on KS during our week there, even though it's my son's favorite. So we ran over to the queue and found it to be an hour+ wait. Well, we couldn't wait as we would have missed our Magical Express bus back to MCO. Lo and behold, the WDW Gods shone down upon us, and some woman asked us if we wanted her 5 fastpasses. It was the only way we would've been able to go on it.

Next time we're at WDW we're going to pass on the good vibes and give away fastpasses whenever we cant use them. It truly makes for a magical experience!

Funny that you posted this... I always get two fast passes when I went with my mom for the rides she does not like (space mt, splash ect) and gave the other away to someone who was by themselves. It always made my trip! I love helping people and I try my hardest to do so every day even out of WDW but for some reason its just extra special when your in the best place in the world hehe ;) :ROFLOL:

Hi Crazyem this has nothing to do with the post but I just have to say your user pic is one of the most creative one's i've seen yet! You wouldn't think to take a picture of someone looking at the park maps I really like this! :) :sohappy:

All this time, I thought I was uniques :p

We were leaving AK for the day and had 2 FP to KS that was within the current timeframe to use. So we walked to the entrance of KS. A young couple walked up to KS and saw the KS wait time at 60+ minutes. They started to walk away with this face :(, so we approached them and handed our two FP. The  in their face. I think they thought I wanted to rob them. Anyway we walked away but turned and watch. You could see the  turn to :sohappy:

This is a GREAT tip and such an easy way to "pay it forward" Disney-style. It's always so funny when you get the suspicious family. The "why are you giving me something for free" sort of skepticism. :lookaroun It's like people either expect to be ripped off or shown on Candid Camera! But for the most part, people are very thankful and excited. I've even started a habit of printing out two coupons (one for myself and an extra) when I'm going to Michael's (craft store) to hand the extra to the person next to me in line. It's my way to keep the Disney magic going year round!

I did something like that during my last trip. It was one of our "party member's" birthdays and we had a one ride birthday fast pass for any ride with a max of 6 people. My brother unfortunately has autism so we have an alternate entrance pass for any and all rides so we found a party with three kids in front of Everest who we overheard needed a fastpass but there were no more so we gave them the birthday pass.

We had fastpasses for Test Track and congratulated a newlywed couple on their honeymoon who were just married on the same date as we were - except we were celebrating our 33rd anninversary. We gave them our fastpasses and they were really surprised and grateful because the line was 90 minutes long and the fastpasses were for that hour. It felt really good to do a little something for them.

Aww that was very sweet and generous. Congrats on 33 years of marriage!
