Tip for travelers

Not sure if this is in the right forum, but I am sure it will get moved to where it needs to be. Many of you might already know this, but if your like me and live out of your suitcase when you travel to the world this might come in handy.

I don't think I have ever bothered unpacking my clothes into the drawers most rooms provide, I will hang up my collared shirts. But the problem arose when we were ready to go out somewhere nice, what to do with the wrinkled shirts and not have to waste time and money to go throw them in the dryer or break out the iron.

Downy has this great product called wrinkle release, you just spray it on and smooth out the wrinkles. Its a quick fix and will cut down on time trying to get your clothes nice and neat.

Hope this helps some of you!!

If the wrinkles aren't too severe, a couple of spritzes of water, followed by a quick SNAP! of the shirt or pants tends to get out a lot of lighter wrinkles. Or you keep the clothes on a hangar, hang them in the bathroom whilst taking a hot shower, the steam tends to also help de-wrinkle the clothes, especially if you then do the SNAP! again.

Or you can be a type "A" like I am. When traveling for business all clothes get unpacked, ironed, and hung up as soon as I get there :)

At WDW, what I pack requires minimal ironing, if any.

I've had a Wrinkle Release bottle at home for years, but rarely use it. I've found that it works best on larger-weave fabrics like a polo shirt. A button-down shirt tends not to de-wrinkle very well for me, pants are so-so, and a T-shirt...forget it. (And I think you're still supposed to let it dry before wearing)

Here at home my "de-wrinkle" trick is to spritz it with a spray bottle of water and toss it in the dryer for 15-20 minutes.
The hot shower trick would work well at a hotel. But don't all Disney hotels either come with an iron in the room or you can get one upon request from housekeeping? It's been a while since I've stayed in a Value, but I seem to recall recently seeing a photo inside a room at Pop where there was an iron and ironing board in the closet.

yeah there was an iron and ironing board....but no matter how much planning we did, just never made it back to the room to shower and get ready and have time to iron too.
