It's TDA, the balloon will be there for the next 15 years.
You mean TDO.
What is this wire you speak of? Tinkerbell flies I tell you! She flies!
Haha they make him wear make up and everything, hilarious.Tinkerbell flies during the early portion of Wishes...Here's a pov shot from the Castle to the landing area from Google..
And yes folks....Tink is very MANLY!

It's pretty often a male performer. Performers have to have the physical strength to pull themselves down the wire should the rig ever get stuck (no offense ladies, just relaying the job requirements and the resulting casting choices).
Huh, I've always wondered how close Tink would look from the Terrace given she ("she") flies right over it. Sounds like it's pretty close!
That's ok I am was here for 13 daysThat has happened several times according to our Keys to the Kingdom tour guide. Sorry that you didn't get to see her!

... and the "landing spot" in that photo is off. I don't think Tink flies over the Magic Kingdom to eat at Tomorrowland Terrace. The actual spot can be seen in the photo a little bit above on the roof of the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin building.
Here's a good chuckle for all of you.
I don't know exactly what I thought (having never been to WDW) but I honestly had no idea that Tinkerbell's Flight involved an actual person! None of my friends have ever even mentioned the flight before and it's not even something I had thought to do a search on.
I think I was imagining some type of prop with lights or something.
Now I'm even more amazed! Super excited to try to experience this now. You know, as long as a balloon doesn't get stuck on the wire....
